Ruth’s is good but be prepared to wait.  As a local I can’t tell you the last time I went there for this reason.  But as a visitor it might be a good breakfast option if you have time to kill. Same goes for Red Iguana, although location 2 is a bit better in that regard.  Other options:

Blue Iguana:  Pretty close quality wise to Red Iguana imo with usually half the crowd.  Unless mole is your thing, then Red would be the choice.

Lucky 13:  Great Burgers.  Full service bar too

Red Rock:  Solid brewery and food

Slackwater:  Good pizza and big beer selection.

9th south has some surprisingly good  food options.  Not far from the stadium area either.  Mainly lunch and dinner, although Pig and a Jelly Jar and the Park Café (on 13th, long waits here too) are breakfast joints.

Tap house: awesome burgers, good beer selection, and nice patio

Manolis: Tapas and wine/beer. Sit down dinner

Barrio: Good tacos and nice patio.  A bit expensive for street tacos but decent quality

Sapa:  Good sushi joint and other offerings.  Check out the “hidden” bar area.

      Breweries:

You could do a brew tour starting at Level Crossing and hit Salt Fire, Shades, Roha, TF, Fishers, and end at Kiitos.  Don’t know how much time you’ll have but you’d be feeling pretty good afterward.  TF or Level Crossing would be my picks if you only have time for a couple.

Game/Tailgate: As others have said, bring a good attitude and you’ll be treated right.  Guardsman’s is the main lot.  There really isn’t a bad seat in the stadium, good sight lines throughout.

I try and eat before I go so I don’t have to stand in the long ass concession lines.  It’s gotten bad since the renovations.

Definite cheap shot. I think it was in the second quarter. Right after the kickoff one of the up men popped Enis pretty good instead of retreating and setting up for a return. I don’t think I’ve ever seen that on a kickoff before.

I don’t think there’s a lot of fanbases in the country that would sit through a cold, rainy night for almost four hours. A lot of people look at it as entertainment and aren’t as passionate about it as most of us on this board. Their comfort is more important to them at times.

That’s exactly what crossed my mind as I read it. Let’s hope we aren’t as arrogant as Alabama was.

They are basically glorified garbage bags. I feel your pain. My buddy was lucky enough to score one of the fleece lined ones from Costco a while back. I was super jealous tonight. He only breaks it out once a year maybe but damn if it doesn’t make days like today much more tolerable. I wish they’d bring them back, I’d buy one in a heartbeat.

They had 7 sacks last year and pretty much dominated our OL all game.  Even when he had a nice pocket, Huntley would scramble and enable the defense to collapse, because of all the pressure they put on him early.

Moss never really got going either.  They do lose 2 starters on D, one being Smith who killed us last year, but return 9 on a defense that held Moss to 66 yards.

Oblock is going to have their work cut out for them this saturday and it won’t help if we are down two starters.

I actually think their schedule lines up nicely. They miss Washington and Stanford and get Wazzu, USC, Oregon, and Arizona all at home. Their toughest conference road game is here in SLC.

Freshman QB not withstanding, they always seem to have good skill position guys. Benjamin will have to carry the load no doubt, but it would not surprise me if they have a WR emerge by mid-season.

Obviously all games are important, but I think this game is right up there with usc in must win to have a shot at the south this year.
