I think we may have some recency bias on this. Part of this is because we have only been picked or favored to win away games against good teams over the last several years. To be honest I think you have to have a good defense to stand a chance to beat a good team on the road which Utah does have. You also have to bring some offense which Utah has not had on a consistent basis. If you can score or at least get some exciting offensive plays you can take the crowd out of the equation. If you don’t and try to win with just defense and special teams you will loose most of the time.

When you look at 247 do you look at total ranking or average recruit?

Also is there a way to figure in transfer portal losses? Maybe some type of Net Transfer Portal ranking?

      1. See the 1’s dominate and not need to play more than one possession in the 3rd qtr.
      2. Cam move easy and throw accurate.
      3. 10+ recievers/TEs catch a pass
      4. Someone look exciting out of the backfield (I know that isn’t quantitative but we all know it when we see it)
      5. Defensive Dominance (0 score and only a few 1st downs until a possible garbage time score by SUU)

I agree that Cal and Stanford want to be in that conference but they should really think about it.

I am not sure what their exit fees are but if they are the same as FSU and Clemson this conversation is over.

If it is not much which is what I think. The FSU lawsuit says they are fee’d 3 years of revenue or something like that. Well Cal and Stanford are not taking Revenue for 9 or 10 years. So they would be way better of financially but I am not sure their Academic Pride can handle that.
