Excellent information. We can’t thank you enough for taking the time to keep us informed!

    15. 9 is coming

Can’t wait for the season to start (a long ways off, I know!). I sometimes lurk on Cougarboard, and their fans are supremely confident they will finally get their win this year, simply based on the way they played in last year’s first half -…[Read more]

Crazy to think what might have been for him had he made that first kick in the first game of the season a few years ago. He may not have made that announcement had he simply made that kick.

  • This KSL link has the road closures.

I will be at the game, and coming from the north of SLC, it is going to be a pain to get there. I might have to cut it close and hope that the 10:30 street open times are honored so I won’t be late. Or go clear down south of 45th south.

    Ugh.…[Read more]

  • BD replied to the topic Scrimmage today? in the forum Football 5 years, 7 months ago

    I was there.
I really like the running game. The backs are quick and good. If Moss goes down things should be ok. A few end-arounds worked well. Passing game was adequate. Huntley threw a pick early. He knew it was his fault. There was a lot of the QB under center – lots more than with Taylor. There was some sloppiness with the oline: too many…[Read more]

  • BD replied to the topic Kicking game in the forum Football 5 years, 7 months ago

Kicking wasn’t great again at today’s scrimmage. Chayden Johnson again missed a lot. He has plenty of distance though. Hopefully he can get things fixed by fall.

  • BD replied to the topic Kicking game in the forum Football 5 years, 7 months ago

I remember attending a few of the spring scrimmages the year after “Automatic Andy” was done. I remember thinking the same thing – the kicking was terrible that spring, at least from the 2 scrimmages that I attended. I remember Samson Nacua absolutely mocking the kickers on the sidelines as they missed kick after kick. But from that mess came Gay,…[Read more]

  • BD replied to the topic Last Saturday's Practice in the forum Football 5 years, 7 months ago

Where was this practice held at? I drove by Rice-Eccles Saturday morning at about 10am and didn’t see anything there. I guess it was held at the football center?

  • BD replied to the topic Decade of Dominance in the forum Football 5 years, 9 months ago

It’s about time we destroyed them. Another 54-10 type of game. It has been awhile since we just totally obliterated them – they always seem to stick around, or, like last November, damn near win the game.

We are due for another 30+ point win. The talent gap has never been greater. Time for a big-time beating, not just a 7 point win.

  • I agree with everything said here. In all honesty, I think the kids should be coached to be more humble, and not do these kinds of media shows. However, I admit that I tuned in to the San Diego media TV show several years ago when Terrell Burgess announced his commitment to Utah on their local TV show, and it didn’t bother me then.

    That said, I…[Read more]

It won’t be lame when a Ute defender strips the ball from him to seal the victory in next year’s Pac-12 championship.

  • BD replied to the topic Well? in the forum Football 5 years, 9 months ago

    Yes. UW.

  • BD replied to the topic Puka throwing up the U in the forum Football 5 years, 10 months ago

The Negative Nancy in me sees Puka throwing up a W. That’s his next visit, if I am not mistaken.

  • Most bone-headed penalty ever. I mean, all other penalties have at least some human mistake that is forgivable. False starts are dumb, but can be forgivable – maybe the crowd noise was too much or whatever. Personal fouls – everybody loses their cool in the heat of battle at times. Late hit – the same.
But lining up in the neutral zone? When it…[Read more]

  • KC lining up in the neutral zone – most bone-headed play ever. That KC defensive lineman will be haunted by that for the rest of his life.

  • I hope Utah’s receivers are watching the game. Clemson’s receivers are crazy good.

  • BD replied to the topic Utah's 2019 Recruiting in the forum Football 5 years, 10 months ago

Moss, Anae, Blackmon and Fotu returning (90+% today).

I was having a crappy day until I read this. Let’s hope that 90% rises to 100%!!

  • Demari Simpkins (I think it was him) said something in the post game interview. He said everybody was yelling at Shelly in the second half, and put way too much pressure on him instead of telling him that they were going to help him.

Not sure what that means, but thought it was an interesting comment.

  • BD replied to the topic Holiday Bowl Threads in the forum Football 5 years, 11 months ago

Same with me.  The all red uniforms in the Vegas Bowl were my favorite.  Something about all red that just seems more intimidating, and stands out so much .

  • BD replied to the topic Taylor is gone. in the forum Football 5 years, 11 months ago

    This.

He wants a “pass-first” offense, and Whitt wants a “run-first” offense.

It seems that I remember somebody posting about a year ago that claimed to have some inside knowledge that Taylor wasn’t happy at Utah. But, who knows. Lots of people claim to have inside info. And the pass/run offense is just speculation also. So, who knows, but it is…[Read more]

They trash the Pac-12 but they would give anything to be in it.
They trash Kyle for choosing Utah over BYU, but they would love to have him as their coach.
And, of course they trash Utah while losing 8 straight to them.  Not to mention that every game they lose to Utah is filled with a list of would of, should of, could have, (i.e. if Kaufusi…[Read more]
