Serious question: Have you watched a football game lately?

Seems to me we’re getting almost exactly what we’re willing to pay for. We have an administration that doesn’t care, a fan base that doesn’t care, and no donors to speak of. And those things have caused us to have a bad coach and bad players.

I’m not sure why we would expect the results to be different than the ones we’re getting.

How can Utah make every home game a hostile environment like the BYU game?

Based on the responses I read here, the answer is “change it over to a football game”.

Let’s face it: There are simply very few of us who like basketball as a sport.

They practically do that already. I have two lower bowl season tickets and they cost me less than a single game ticket for football. Sorry, price is not the issue.

It’s interesting how our recent win streak has come about as we’ve gotten more aggressive inside and made a conscious effort to get the ball into the low block. I agree with everything you said. But you didn’t answer my question. Do you still invest in going to football games despite our passing percentage being 103rd in D1 this past season? And if yes, why the difference?

I’m not trying to noodle you…I’m just curious about how fan psychology works and this is a particularly interesting one to me.

This is why I don’t want to really invest in going to the games. Look at how pathetic that percentage is.

It’s worth pointing out that Lawson’s BPM of 5.5 is still really good. That’s NBA All-Star level. And if Ezra and Hunter were able to maintain their BPM, they would both be All-Americans.

The highest BPM over the course of an entire NBA season was Jokic in 2021-2022. His BPM was 13.7.

I love this bigger lineup. The length makes up for some of our subpar athleticism. It seems to be causing opponents some problems around the rim on both ends of the court.

Tonight I’m especially encouraged that we can have an off shooting night and still get a wire-to-wire road win.
