Lots of great tweets from BYU-Provo Campus fans telling us what the Big12 is like, how the various fanbases are. It’s like they forgot that they have yet to play a single down/minute/point/inning in the conference as of today.

I get it that uncertainty makes you cranky, but man…get some meds or something and relax. Good lord…

There’s absolutely zero chance that Randall doesn’t have a plan. And a plan b, plan c, and plan d. And sources who are actually in the know have alluded to this.

There’s way too much riding on conference affiliation for the university as a whole. I guarantee there were plans for every potential permutation laid out years ago.

A few things to consider:
1. There’s much more to the whole conference alignment thing than sports. Much, much more. As sports fans it’s natural to think everything revolves around sports, but it doesn’t. The amount of research funding dwarfs the entire athletic budget.

I vote that it becomes as small as possible, so long as the way it gets small is by jettisoning the flotsam (like Colorado). The 6 or so marquee schools will command as much TV money as the full PAC12 would have but we will split it less ways.

I like this pickup, especially based on what he showed at the U19 World Cup. I hate to say this but youth basketball is now better in Europe than it is in the US.
