My solution to the portal problem: There is no portal unless your head coach quits. If the coach quits, any player may enter the portal and transfer to any school without any penalty.

My solution to the NIL problem: Any NIL money must be paid back if the player leaves the school he was at when he got the NIL money.

Two points to refute that:
1. The P12 presidents had no say in the matter of USC and UCLA leaving. They do have say in the matter of media rights and posturing against the B12.
2. Reminder that the B12 presidents also let their two biggest schools get away. So it’s a wash at worst.

There’s no way the PAC12 schools’ presidents are going to be outmaneuvered by a bunch of glorified community college presidents.
