GameForAnyFuss replied to the topic According to 24/7 seven of our top 20 ranked recruits… in the forum Football 1 year, 9 months ago
All great players, but all of them are also statistical outliers. It’s always awesome when you get one or two, but you can’t rely on a constant stream of outliers to build your program around. That is what BYU-Provo Campus has tried to do for 30 years and it hasn’t worked out well for them.

The best part is the tracks they made skiing down. That’s a huge load of powder!

I don’t think it’s our place as fans to tell the coaches and team and families (who actually lost two people close to them, unlike fans who only lost two people who could help us get some football wins) when they should be “over it.”

Sorry, but a bunch of 3-9 seasons aren’t going to humble them whatsoever. They’re past the point where they still have the ability to change.

Hopefully people who aren’t attending basketball games see the irony of complaining about the curtains.
My neighbor literally said this to me earlier this year: “I won’t go to any more games until they raise that stupid curtain.” SMH

Jaxon Brenchley just entered the portal as well. I think we expected this – he is getting his degree this year.

GameForAnyFuss replied to the topic Utah Skiing Day 4 of NCAA Championships in the forum Other Ute Sports 1 year, 10 months ago
I said it would be close. I said it would come down to the wire.
What the hell do I know?
Utah turned it into a blowout thanks to the women’s XC team. If my research is right, they put up the highest score by any gender in a single discipline in any race in the NCAA this season.
Winning a championship requires big-time players making big-time…[Read more]

Today has been an amazing day in ski racing! For ski racing fans like me, there will never be another day like it.
Utah with the five-peat (yes, I know it’s actually only four, but we were so far ahead in 2020 that all we had to do was take a victory lap before COVID cancelled the championships, so I’m counting it as five). And Mikaela Shiffrin…[Read more]

I’d say we’re slightly better than CU in nordic classic. We’re basically tied with them at the moment, so I would say we’re the prohibitive favorite for the natty, but it’s going to be tight. Everyone will be skiing their balls off tomorrow and it might come down to the wire.

GameForAnyFuss replied to the topic Utah Skiing Day 2 of NCAA Championships in the forum Other Ute Sports 1 year, 10 months ago
It’s a two-horse race now between Utah and Colorad9. One of the two teams will win the natty. We trail by 16.5 at the halfway point, but our best events are coming. It’s not going to be a blowout like the last couple of years – it’s going to come down to the wire. I wish I could be there for the last couple of days. It’s going to be intense.

From a confidant close to the program: Certain players mailed it in after the USC loss. This team isn’t deep enough to deal with anyone not giving max effort.

Not a perfect start for Utah – the men had a rough day of it. But still lots of skiing to go and our kick-ass XC team is next up.

Football is king, man…no sense trying to fight it. I also find it weird that people would rather watch talk shows discussing a sport that’s not in season than watch actual competitions in sports that are happening right now, but it is what it is.
Madison Hoffman just won the first run of the women’s GS at the NCAA skiing championships. Good…[Read more]

Tastes change as you age. Certain foods I couldn’t stand in my youth (like pineapple) are now among my favorites, and vice versa.
Also, I got COVID a year ago. Wasn’t a particularly bad case – put me down for just a few days – but I did completely lose my sense of taste and smell while I had it. When my senses came back, I noticed nothing tasted…[Read more]

I agree and disagree.
I agree that sitting MSJ all year was a total waste. But I also disagree because it sounds like it was due to the player’s choices.
At the end of the day, the whole situation just sucks because MSJ clearly could have helped the team quite a bit but he made some bad decisions and left Craig with no choice.

GameForAnyFuss replied to the topic Saunders in the forum Basketball (Men) 1 year, 10 months ago
Every made bucket by Saunders made Craig Smith look worse and worse. Earlier this week, Craig said Saunders wasn’t playing because “he just needs to play better”. It seems now that either that was BS coachspeak and Craig is covering for something, or 25 points just isn’t good enough for a PG.
Yeah, Saunders looked lost on defense, but guess what?…[Read more]
