GameForAnyFuss replied to the topic Most crushing/saddest game as a Ute fan in the forum Football 2 years ago
Does my answer have to be a football game?
I would go with the 1998 NCAA bball championship loss to Them.
After that, the NIT championship loss to Penis St. Their fans were the douchiest fans I’ve ever been around, including BYU-Provo Campus fans.

GameForAnyFuss replied to the topic Football question of the day in the forum Football 2 years ago
My all-time favorite Utes list has more of a personal touch.
Chris Fuamatu-Maafala: We were roommates our freshman year. Nicest kid…played a mean ukulele. Most people don’t know that his freshman year he was extremely homesick. And he still ran for 1000+ yards.
Chet Blasucci: Again, one of the best people I’ve ever known. We were neighbors…[Read more]

My favorite Utah football game is whichever game was last. I love them all for different reasons.

That’s Exacte – uh, I mean, exactly – what I was thinking. *rimshot*
And I agree with the increased depth. That second five you described could win a handful of games in the PAC12.

If we had to play tomorrow, I think your starting 5 would be:
Carlson
Carlson
Bajema
Madsen
WorsterJust because Craig will stick with what he liked last season.
I think by the end of the year, your starting 5 will be:
Carlson
Keita
Bajema
Madsen

There’s no way a freshman should be that jacked. Someone call a vet; his pythons are sick.

We do for sure if Carlson comes back. We’re bigger and we have better guards.

GameForAnyFuss replied to the topic Recruits can now take as many official visits as they want in the forum Football 2 years, 1 month ago
Not necessarily. The cost of an official visit is a drop in the bucket of the overall expenses required to run a sports team. Since most of the things they’ll do on a visit are sunk costs, the only real expenses are travel, room, and board. I figure $1000/per recruit? So in a big year you’re talking maybe $50k? That’s nothing for a P4 football…[Read more]

FYI, I just renewed by MBB season tickets. 2 lower bowl season tickets cost me the same as 1 ticket to 1 football game.

GameForAnyFuss replied to the topic Football Walk up entrance music in the forum Football 2 years, 1 month ago
Crowd should be pumped up regardless of music. So if you’re going to do music, do something for the kids. It’s their moment…give them theirs.

Let’s see how many downvotes I can get here…
Any time a thread about walkout music starts, it gets quickly populated by suggestions from the genre of classic rock.
Walkout music is for the players, and most of our players are not 62-year-old white men. Most of them don’t know what Metallica even is.
For the sake of the players, I would go…[Read more]

GameForAnyFuss replied to the topic What is your best or favorite joke? (lame or good, doesn’t matter) in the forum Misc 2 years, 2 months ago
What’s the difference between a patriot, a rooster, and a BYU-Provo Campus coed?
A patriot says “yankee-doodle-do.”
A rooster says “cock-a-doodle-do.”
A BYU-Provo Campus codes says “any-doodle-do.” -
GameForAnyFuss replied to the topic Some ideas for the portal and NIL in the forum Football 2 years, 2 months ago
My solution to the portal problem: There is no portal unless your head coach quits. If the coach quits, any player may enter the portal and transfer to any school without any penalty.
My solution to the NIL problem: Any NIL money must be paid back if the player leaves the school he was at when he got the NIL money.

GameForAnyFuss replied to the topic PAC12 Media deal updates…and lies in the forum Pac-12 2 years, 2 months ago
Two points to refute that:
1. The P12 presidents had no say in the matter of USC and UCLA leaving. They do have say in the matter of media rights and posturing against the B12.
2. Reminder that the B12 presidents also let their two biggest schools get away. So it’s a wash at worst. -

There’s no way the PAC12 schools’ presidents are going to be outmaneuvered by a bunch of glorified community college presidents.

It really couldn’t be a better set up for DK.
– All-Pro QB who is pass-first (doesn’t tuck and run as much).
– System that uses the TE a lot.
– Great mentor in Knox.
– A semi-opening with Knox possibly going to a slightly different role.
– A decent threat at RB to keep defenses honest, but he’s not good enough to tempt the coaches into running a…[Read more] - Load More
