Yeah there were more than a few, and most of them were more than a little ambitious. Seems like there’s some gloryhunting going on against these crap teams we’ve been playing lately. It’s tempting to try to get on SC Top 10 when you’re already up by 35.

He’s 10th in the nation in scoring – I don’t mind him missing a dunk or two if the threes keep dropping. 🙂

It was actually hilarious to see Hunter get the start and lay one of the biggest eggs I’ve ever seen. Meanwhile, Shark comes off the bench and fills up the stat sheet. Exact opposite of the previous game.

Maybe the solution is to have them alternate starts and just expect whichever one comes off the bench to have a great game.

I disagree, but for different reasons that others have given. I simply don’t like the message that the portal sends to these kids: That if you’re not getting what you want, just quit and go somewhere else and keep doing that until you do get what you want. At an impressionable age, we should be trying to teach our young people the opposite.

I think Dawes is simply a freshman who is a victim of the fact that the two centers both returned from injury at the same time.

Most players don’t want the chance to be the starter – they want to be told they are the starter. That’s the biggest way in which the portal is harming student-athletes.

Why is anyone even surprised? At this point, you have to assume that any player who hasn’t been an everyday starter – on any team – is going to the portal.

There’s only one thing I don’t understand about the Ute fan base: Why are so many of us constantly negative, pessimistic, and depressed? We seem to have a greater percentage of Eeyores than any other fan base I’ve observed.
