We have a massive annual exodus of players in football too but that doesn’t seem to be harming peoples’ enthusiasm for football.

Do you think the January phenomenon is due to basketball getting more interesting (conference play) or due to football being over, or some combination of the two?

Winning fixes everything I guess.

Football is king and will always be the priority for most fans imo.

I get that, but how is priority relevant? There wasn’t a football game last night. There hasn’t been a schedule conflict between football and MBB all season. It’s possible to attend MBB without missing a football game. And it can’t be a money thing either – MBB tickets are basically free.

Why am I called a hater and homophobe.

I have no idea why you’re called a homophobe, but I do know why you’re called a hater: Because you went out of your way to create a post where you…<checks notes>…hated on something.

I’ve got an idea – let’s put them in cheerleading. Because we don’t want our daughters playing their own sports and creating their own achievements. We want them knowing that their peak purpose in life is to support boys playing sports.

I’ll say it again: The lengths that people will go to to express their dislike of soccer is uncanny. You don’t see this kind of proactive hate with any other sport.

As an avid soccer fan, I’ll take this as a compliment.

To that fanbase it didn’t matter. They were so scared that Ken would bring the triple option to Provo that they heaped pressure on Holmoe to not hire him.

Kind of. Actually he was in line to be the coach at BYU-Provo Campus but Holmoe got cold feet. Holmoe was afraid that Ken’s offense was too vanilla to keep the fanbase happy – they insist on a pass-heavy offense and Ken has a run-first, triple option offense at Navy.
