Its a spelling epidemic that so many people spell lose as loose.
I hate to be that guy, but…
It’s also a spelling epidemic that so many people spell “it’s” as “its”, like you did. Its is a possessive, meaning the act of belonging to it. It’s is a contraction of “it is”.
Here’s an easy way to not make the its/it’s mistake: Read the sentence…[Read more]

GameForAnyFuss replied to the topic Canada v Mexico ===> Iceteca in the forum Professional Sports 3 years, 1 month ago
Canada is getting pretty good at this CONCACAF shithousery thing.
Best part of the whole thing: Apparently Mexico asked the Canadian federation if they could practice in their indoor practice facility yesterday…Canada denied it because a youth girls team had already booked the facility. That’s right: Mexico’s national team got back-burnered by…[Read more]

With plenty of rest since Dos a Cero, Berhalter has no excuses not to trot out a first-choice lineup (minus McKennie, of course). We need 3 point here. I think we’ll get them.

GameForAnyFuss replied to the topic Do you ever wish that a coach would tell the truth in the forum Misc 3 years, 1 month ago
Anyone who’s ever managed people knows that the quickest way to lose their buy-in is to throw them under the bus publicly (whether it’s deserved or not). If I were coach, I would do press conferences exactly the way Whit does. Praise specifically, criticize generally.

Yeah, our whole group is floored by how many rebounds Anthony gets. He’s a glass eater…one of those guys who just knows where to be to get rebounds. That said, I still think rebounding will be our Achilles’ heel in conference play. Teams with size are going to kill us on the boards.
But I really like the direction this team is heading. It will…[Read more]

Actually I love that decision, if that’s what it is. Why not feature a huge rivalry game featuring two good teams just because it’s FCS?

GameForAnyFuss replied to the topic Arizona is not a good team. in the forum Football 3 years, 2 months ago
I wasn’t going to get pissed no matter what happened, because after Aaron Lowe was murdered I promised I would just be grateful that the team is strong enough to press on, and I intend to honor that promise. The fact that they’re putting together a good season is just gravy.
See you at the basketball game…

GameForAnyFuss replied to the topic Terrible effort today (so far) in the forum Football 3 years, 2 months ago
U serious bro? The first delay of game was because the refs allowed AZ a late substitution which delayed Utah’s play call. The second delay of game was Whit was trying to point out to the refs that they allowed a late substitution which delayed Utah’s play call.
Two delay of game penalties means “Whit has lost his edge”? Good hell. You might be…[Read more]

GameForAnyFuss replied to the topic I question the decision to sit Thomas… in the forum Football 3 years, 2 months ago
I don’t question it. Why would I? I don’t know anything about the injury or how serious it is, and I’m guessing you don’t either.
If it’s the type of thing where he can go but a wrong tackle or a bad cut can make it season-ending, then absolutely sitting him was the right thing to do.

GameForAnyFuss replied to the topic USMNT v Mexico in Cincinnati in World Cup Qualifying Today in the forum Professional Sports 3 years, 2 months ago
Well, that was fun. At the end of the day, the strength of the U.S. attack was just a bit too much for that patchwork Mexico back line. Dos a cero! The second half was the best half of soccer from the USMNT in this entire qualifying cycle, and it couldn’t have come at a better time. And Pulisic’s “man in the mirror” undershirt was first-rate…[Read more]

GameForAnyFuss replied to the topic Best Football Team of All Time in the forum Football 3 years, 2 months ago
Yeah, seriously. If Oregon and Texas could pick apart that secondary, 2004 Utah would do it too. That was one of the best offenses in the history of college football.

GameForAnyFuss replied to the topic Best Football Team of All Time in the forum Football 3 years, 2 months ago
I still say recency bias. The 2004 team would pick the 2019 secondary apart.

GameForAnyFuss replied to the topic Best Football Team of All Time in the forum Football 3 years, 2 months ago
This is the correct answer. 2004 was the best team. They absolutely demolished everyone they played. The closest game they played was a 14-point win against Air Force, and the only thing that kept it from being more was the clock-chewing triple option they ran. They would’ve beaten anyone in the country by 7+.
The 2008 team might have been the…[Read more]
