It’s day 3 without sports. I came downstairs to discover a woman laying on my couch. She says she’s my wife. She seems nice.

Honestly I don’t care what sportscasters think should happen or want to see happen. Conference membership is about business and money as much as it is about athletics. And while sportscasters may understand athletics, most of them don’t understand business and money – if they did, they wouldn’t be sportscasters.

Honest question for those who want to fire Larry this season: If you could fire him and get a new coach, but that move also meant losing more players via transfer (like Rylan, for example) and losing some of the players from this latest recruiting class (like Ian Martinez), would you do it? Honestly, why is any football player doing the bench press? Pushing with the arms is not a super important motion in football. Even linemen – who push a lot – are pushing with their legs, glutes, and cores.

I suspect that the bench press is pretty much just there to be a “show of manliness” and has little to do with strength that translates to football.

Look at the Jazz record with Conley and without Conley. That will tell you everything you need to know about what the Jazz’s problem is.

Only if you assume academics don’t matter to major conferences. The truth is, academics matter quite a lot. And just BYU doesn’t have them.
