I hope that’s not true. Personally my fandom is stronger than one loss.

Did you know that Utah plays more than one basketball game per year? its true! We actually play almost 30 of them.
We would love to see you at one of the other games.

Right now you couldn’t get half a pepperoni pizza in exchange for the Jazz.

That’s the thing. In this day of portal madness, bad news always comes first. You always get the losses before you see the gains.
We’re in the bad news phase. This is when we find out who we’re losing (just like everyone else in the country). After this come the wins.

GameForAnyFuss replied to the topic What made college football great. in the forum Football 9 months, 2 weeks ago
7 – Unpredictability. The problem with the NFL (and NBA, and really all pro sports) is that the players are too good. Mistakes are rare (unless you’re the Jets). Every player is a freak athlete. Nobody has any weaknesses.
The thing I like about college sports is that the level is high, but you can still expect the unexpected. I guess I like my…[Read more]

Question for everyone who is saying that the portal is destroying college football: What would it take for you to stop watching it? How bad would things have to get?
i ask because i keep hearing about how CFB has been ruined and whatnot. But then i keep seeing record viewership numbers and record revenue reports. Just wondering when the…[Read more]

Lovering was also in foul trouble all night. But yes, I agree – Keita is the better player of the two and should be starting at the 4/5. Just don’t expect him to stretch the floor at all.

Probably pretty bad. Turnovers and poor perimeter defense will be our undoing. We should be better than them in the paint.

Minor injury. He should be back in time for the BYU-Provo Campus game.

It’s funny…I’ve seen plenty of fanbases angry at their AD for subpar athletic performance. But I’ve never seen a fanbase actively rooting for the downfall of their AD until ours.

Erickson will always get minutes because he’s a good defender. He turns the ball over more than Wooster and he doesn’t get boards like Wooster, but he’s not a traffic cone on the other end of the floor like Wooster.

It’s on ESPNU, not The Deuce.
We should learn a lot about this team tonight. Specifically, who will be involved in the tighter rotation I’m assuming we’ll have going forward.

Let me get this straight: We have 3 losses (all to teams currently in the top 12 of the CFP), a couple of really good wins, all while having a literal PIG FARMER at QB…and we want to get rid of our offensive coordinator?
Someone make it make sense.

Looking at it from a pure sporting perspective (i.e. setting aside fandom), for the life of me I can’t figure out why people like football more than basketball. Don’t get me wrong – I like football. But football is so much worse than basketball from the standpoint of straight up entertainment.
A game takes 4 hours and there’s only something like…[Read more]

I think it comes down to a single thing: Utah fans love winners. Track attendance throughout the modern history of football and basketball and it’s no big mystery.
I don’t buy the whole “NCAA/NIL/transfer portal/one-and-done is ruining the game” excuse. Those same things are happening in football and it’s not affecting attendance.
As a fan who…[Read more]

A couple of notes from the game:
– Keita is now a grown-ass man. He put on about 20 lb of muscle in the offseason and he’s learning how to use it. As noted, his free throws have improved and he’s actually got a nice touch at the line.
– It was nice to have the real Gabe Madsen back. He was absent in the exhibition game, but he took over in this…[Read more] - Load More
