Same reason Tim Drisdom became the scapegoat for all the Runnin Utes’ woes: Someone once suggested it, and it became a quick and convenient way to bag on the team, even though it wasn’t true.

I know ASU has a solid defense, but I think Moss is going to go crazy this week. Why? Because his entire family is flying in from Florida for the game. He’s said before that he *really* wants to break the rushing record in front of his mom. I don’t think he’s going to let ASU deny him that.

I’m not worried at all. Since the USC loss, Utah is playing at an extremely high level in all phases. Meanwhile ASU is just plodding along like a car stuck in third gear. On run of form, I’d say Utah wins by two scores.

Agreed. Kalani will be – yet another – head coach scapegoat for BYU-Provo. They’ll fire him and hire someone worse, when the actual problem is in the AD’s office and with the Board of Trustees.

Exactly. How can this even be debated? You don’t go to the CFP or Rose Bowl unless you win the south. You don’t win the south unless the other south team lose more games than Utah. You always want south teams to lose to north teams. Always.

Can’t comment on whether most of these programs are where they belong, but I’d say they’ve got Utah (admirable powerhouse) and BYU-Provo (moderately well behaved weakling) nailed.

Football is all about matchups, and this is a good matchup for Utah. USC was a poor matchup which is why we lost the game.

We will stuff their ground game and make them one dimensional. They will make a few big plays but their QB will end up making mistakes. Utah wins this game by ~20.

That’s just it. Utah may not be good basketball, but I think it will be fun basketball. At this point that’s all I’m really about…I just want to be entertained.

The NFL is so weird. They won’t let a defender look at a QB, but they have to be dragged kicking and screaming into creating rules about using your helmet as a weapon, or not putting guys who just got brain damage straight back into the game.
