Here’s something that might make you feel better: I think how amped up BYU-P will be will work against them. I expect plenty of drive-killing penalties on them, especially early in the game, and maybe a targeting ejection as well.

I suspect it plays on peoples’ compulsive need to compare things, and our sense of Injustice when we see flaws in those comparisons. I try to avoid this list like the plague because it pisses me off.

Narrow minded? I’m the one thinking about all fans, not just myself.

Despite what some still-bitter Utah fans think, Urban is still very friendly to the Utah program. And I bet if you could pin him down, I think he’d say his time at Utah was one of the best – if not the best – time of his career.

What does everyone make of Kyle’s comment that Ludwig will be his last OC? I think it can be taken one of two ways:

The good news way: Kyle is going to lock Ludwig up and never let him leave.
The bad news way: Kyle is retiring very soon.

You can’t overstate the importance of being able to make field goals. You can’t leave points on the field and expect to be an elite team.

Huntley will never win the Heisman. He didn’t go 16/16 against a directional Michigan. That’s a prerequisite to winning the Heisman.

Honestly I consider BYU-P to be a scheduling disadvantage no matter when or where we play them. There’s just no upside to that game. None.

You’ve also heard his voice because he was Lando in the new Star Wars, a nerd physicist in The Martian, and maybe because he’s a multi-platinum rapper (he raps under the name Childish Gambino).

I haven’t seen them all either. I do know the BYU-P QB said no defense can stop them and he expects to score on every drive the entire season.

A better question to ask would be “who here on the board thinks we could compete with our next opponent?” Because that’s all that matters here and now.
