IMO this is exactly what Utah’s offense should look like. Short passing, power running, chew up clock. 

On the other hand, it may be the fact that we’re playing a football team that’s just better than ours.
It’s not always coaching.  

I don’t believe in karma, but it really feels like it’s just not our day. Covey out with injury, then the goofiest interception ever. 

Good news is, we kick ass in the second half, and we’re only down 3. Last week at this time we were down 20 (albeit to a much worse team).

Confirmed. This was Vante’s decision, period. 
I’m not defending Larry at all because he’s lost far too many players, but this one is not on him. 

College football is just as dirty, if not more so. SEC players getting paid, off-field crime, CTE, PEDs, and on and on. 
Not saying you have to like college basketball, but “it’s dirty” is not a good reason…if you still like college football. 

My assessment of the regular season: I was entertained. Every down of Utah football was worth the entertainment dollars spent. Great year! 

If that kid were a Ute, he wouldn’t have left the bench tonight. He’d be Shelley’s backup. And the play on the field bore that out. The better QB was wearing red last night. 

Because this game doesn’t matter. To the players, to the coaches, to the fans. 

You’re overthinking this. This is a meaningless game and our players know it. Expect better against Washington.

Covey did everything he should. He called poison and pointed to the spot. That was just such a bad punt that the cover team had no idea the ball could be there. 

Pure luck. That was one of those “so bad it’s good” punts.

We spend 6 months dying to watch football, and by November we’re talking about skipping games? SMH…
 
Of course you’ll be there. You’re just using this post as a way of saying that tonight’s game is meaningless. But this level of hyperbole is a bit much. 

Honestly, with the exception of the N. Illinois game, I haven’t been less excited for a football game all year. The rivalry is dead.
