The best thing football could do is get rid of the pads. Make guys tackle the right way. Football is an entertaining enough game that it would still be fun without the “hits”.

I would get rid of the play where we get it to a guy and he fumbles it. I would get rid of it because I don’t like it when the other team has the ball. 
A close second: I would get rid of the play where we throw the ball at a guy and drops it.

Nogt saying that Taylor is a good OC, but on the play you cited as an example, Huntley is at fault. It’s actually a good play call, but Huntley mde totally the wrong read. If he keeps it and goes right, it’s a good gain.

The rules are why I have a really hard time getting into football.
The hit on the QB is 15 yards and an ejection. But Covey gets his head knocked off with a shoulder pad and it’s nothing? Under the current rules, that’s what they’re saying. But which of those plays was more dangerous to the player?

If you want to criticize a play call, criticize the endzone fade route on 3rd and 6 from ~30 yard line. And we’ve done it 3 times in 2 games (twice against Weber, once last night)!

I’m not a big play call critic guy, but when you have one shot at 6 yards, why oh why would you throw a low-percentage pass to the endzone?

FYI, their QB just got sacked on back to back plays, and fumbled on the last one.

Still have us in 2nd. Tonight’s game was not as bad as everyone thinks. First road game of the year. Week before a huge game. Hungry, disciplined opponent who plays good fundamental football. And we win by double digits. We’re still #2 behind SC.

You guys play the game the right way: Solid D, solid special teams, blue-collar attitude. I was impressed. Best of luck the rest of the year.
