  • Starting to get back into football mode after basketball season and a long football offseason feels really weird sometimes. What is football? Do I remember what even happened last year? So, as I’m digging back into things, criticisms seem to stick with me longer than things we did right. I firmly remember many a time last season where it felt like…[Read more]

  • At least he hasn’t racked up 4 alcohol related incidents…

Give him a shot. He’s a kid. He’ll learn. He’s gotta know Utah might be his last shot. Not sure anyone out of state will touch him if he messes up again. It’s one thing to get dropped from BYU. There are a lot of factors that may or may not go into that. Getting dismissed from a secular…[Read more]

Burn it all down. It makes you wonder how many skeletons these “top coaches and programs” are hiding. They obviously have the most to lose with how much donor money gets poured into their programs.

I’m going to be watching this one closely. The sexual assault allegations are white hot right now.

  • So. Is there any excuse to not win the South next season? All four teams that finished ahead of us this year have major reconstruction projects in either coaching, highly talented players leaving, or both. I feel much much better about Huntley having been the starter this past year now. Hopefully Troy Taylor can find more creative ways to get Moss…[Read more]

Man. I understand Alabama is Alabama and they can do whatever they want… but I hate how good they and the SEC are at scheduling (read: the SEC takes care of them at all costs). Alabama is NEVER going to play a true road game outside of SEC country for a long time. They’ll play Atlanta or MAYBE Dallas if they think the committee wants to see…[Read more]

  • If a kid is set on sitting on the bench in Alabama for 4-5 years, that’s on him. There’s plenty of kids out there with more hope than hard work. “If I can just get a scholarship to Alabama or Ohio St, and they’re telling me I’m only a fringe player, then I’ll just work harder.”

Playing time is infinitely more important than the name of the school…[Read more]

If it’s Huntley, I hope to see less and less of the read option stuff. Moss is a guy who needs to know when he’s getting the ball and when he knows, he’ll go hard. I think the read option adds in an element of hesitation that just doesn’t need to be there.

  • I thought they were great. Plus, I love the hand painted ones. Wish they’d reproduce them, even for a limited run. I really wish they’d reproduce those hand painted black ones we had recently.

  • Grimmetal replied to the topic East Side in the forum Football 6 years, 12 months ago

West side looks barren from my seats in the MUSS. Every game I think, “All those old rich alumni…” it’s either too cold once it hits low 60’s, they leave once we get up by 10+ points, or they leave when we get down by 10+. No fight in them I swear.

Of course, I really have no idea who sits where, but I’m assuming the older alumni keep the best…[Read more]

  • He also had his patented awful play calls in the read-option followed by the WR screen when we were backed up on our own goal line.

  • You misspelled Tuttle.

So we get a hyped up Wazzou with blood in the water tomorrow and a pissed off UW next week in Seattle. Sounds legit.

  • Sometimes it can be good. The players and coaches might be willing to do a little more out of their comfort zone or at least loosen up. “If they’re mad and I’m mad, then I won’t give a damn” mentality would probably help out this team at times. Play mad, play loose. Isn’t that the “edge” Whitt was talking about last week?

    I mean, I was there. The…[Read more]

Expecting a close one for some reason but still a loss to Washington. Wazzou beats the tar out of us (I don’t trust our secondary or pass rush) and then we catch a below average Colorado team at home for a bowl birth.

Let’s revive this meme of a thread idea and see if we can reverently fold up our dreams of a South Division title and place them neatly in the drawer for next year. These are the things that will keep me going for another week and headlong into midterms coming up this week:(

    1. We’re at Oregon with another relatively early start time. (At least…[Read more]

  • I bet he plays. Like it or not, any hopes of a “great” season hinge on this win. That’s not to say you want to see him ruin his body on a “rebuilding year”, but if he’s pain free, who says no? The fanbase probably needs a little bit of a pick up tbh.

FWIW, Jerry Palm at CBS Sports has us in the Holiday Bowl vs Michigan. Of course, the dude clearly has money on Clemson getting into the Playoff. Plus, there is no way Ohio St and Penn St play each in the playoff. Not if one of them won’t be B10 champ.

  • Sorry, not a smart call in the least. You have to plan for not making it. Once you call that TO, you kick the XP. You already know you’re giving USC the ball back. Don’t give them the ball, the lead, AND the clock.

  • Yeah, I hate him now. Two losses squarely on his inability to run the offense. 21 unanswered is on the D. But 14 points from the offense? Going away from the run? Troy playing hero ball on the 2 pt try? He was thinking scramble the entire time once he broke the pocket.
