The rumor was that the reason we didn’t get the OK OC was Whitt. It’d be a very recently on-brand bit of sabotage to still leave after that. But I’d be sad to see him go.

They come back with their tail between their legs, knowing they aren’t marketable and they just blew their only shot at trying, now their only way forward is to now prove something on the field.

Do I trust the coaching staff? No. But I think they can put together a football team (minus quarterbacks). We’re going to make it to 2025 fine and hopefully contend.

I thought that’s basically what Bajakian was, he must’ve had other responsibilities I guess. If there’s a position group to have staff dedicated to, it’s QB.

I can’t look down on anyone for testing the waters as much as I’d like to. In my career I’m often preached to about loyalty but personal experience and numbers will tell you that loyalty is for idiots, and poor ones at that. If it rings hollow for me I’d be a hypocrite to begrudge anyone else for doing something similar.

I will never understand the flawless Olympic level mental gymnastics it takes to watch a coach turn two seasons in a row into the challenger spacecraft launch and not only completely ignore it, but behave as if the whole thing went over without a hitch. I can’t tell if I envy or pity the ability to maintain such a fluid relationship with reality.

Good thing we’ve definitely not had to worry about this every year for 15 years! That would certainly be frustrating
