I am not buying it. The RPO concept worked very well with Jared Goff who we would all agree is not an extremely mobile guy. The zone read scheme has been ran very effectively by Andy Dalton and “The Ratt” back in the day and neither of those guys were burners. Wilson looks to be just as athletic as well Wilson, and our Wilson ran one hell of a…[Read more]

So the timing on this thing is really strange. Was it the uptick in Huntley’s play? The fact that he was still 3 on the depth chart? Or the fact that Daniels is a strong Utah lean who supposedly is boys with Troy Taylor?

I apologize that my general answer with an example to your universal question was insufficient UteThunder but I am busy living my life. If you would like to do some research on the topic and get back with us I am sure we would all be enlightened by your findings…

Wow, do any of you guys hunt, fish, play golf, or enjoy any other hobbies? There is alot of football left to be played. “Relax and step back away from that ledge my friends”… https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QdgCajndgNw

I guess you just erase that one from the DVR and get ready for next week. Vegas, they are not always right but they are never wrong, Utes by 11.

Strange time to transfer. Graduates next spring but was just a RS sophomore. He was going to have 2 to play 2 even if he played this season. OnlyU will have to shed some light, he seemed like a bit of a tweener who was too slow for backer and too small to be a d-end. Hate to see him go but wish him the best.

The fans have been bitching about it since we joined the conference and more so since we have become a viable TV product for the league. I respect your opinion but frankly I think you are misguided on a few points. Casual fans, AKA dudes who spend Friday night and Saturday in sportsbars in the Eastern and Central timezone do actually watch the…[Read more]

What are the reasonable expectations for Covey next season?
I love Covey. I watch the reel when I get bored at work (I have a problem, so what?). What can we reasonably expect from him as a player this season. I know that he is working out with Jordan Pendelton to get ready for the season but right now he looks like a holocaust survivor. The…[Read more] -
Hellhound152 replied to the topic Most people believe (including me) that Huntley will be the starting QB in 2018 in the forum Football 6 years, 9 months ago
I actually think the better question is do they? I think we get a bit of tunnel vision when it comes to our own program and just think that because a player suits up they have stayed healthy. It is well documented that Troy played almost all of 2016 with a torn knee but he still started every game. Huntley’s injury was technically a pocket…[Read more]

Really glad that my belief both teams earned a spot in the championship game overrode my anti SEC leanings. That was a fantastic football game to watch and was aided greatly by the coaches commentary channel. Lots of great insights, Mike Gundy and David Cutcliffe were particulary insightful about the schematics of modern offensive football. It…[Read more]

I am as a fan, as a fan I have an unrealistic expectation that the Utes should be perennial powers nationally and win every game that they play. But fandom/fanticism should not be a shelter from reality.
In the real world we as Ute fans should actually expect to be the Michigan State of the Pac-12. Before I get blown up lets look at the…[Read more] -

The idea that Whitt has platueued is insane.
I am of the mind that the Utes are still in the growing phase. The facts are that the Utes started this Pac12 journey substantially behind all of the other teams in the conference financially and with recruits. Even CU had been a member of a power league (the Big8 and Big 12) since 1947 and has won…[Read more]
