#1 It was tongue in cheek. Hence “College Football week 4 overreactions.”
#2 “We” don’t have to ignore anything, we are fans, and “we” can enjoy the fluffing with impunity. “We” ain’t gonna take a rep or attend a practice this season.

You should, and have every right to say that Utah is not Texas or Oklahoma. A win over Utah will not give you the same rub. You should be upset about that. The disappointment has nothing to do with OSU or KSU and you should understand because you should feel 100% the same.

As far as going out of conference for “big games” that is what the…[Read more]

I don’t understand any shade being thrown at Ludwig. When the players execute it works really well, and when they don’t it doesn’t. That is indicative of a execution problem, not a “play calling” problem. The difference in the 2nd quarter on was that the players were executing and making plays. The receivers were balling out for Isaac and it showed.

Yeah, what they did to K-State really bothered me particularly with Penn State sitting idle and their big non-conference win against a 1-2 team. Miami gets a 2 spot bump for beating Ball State and Florida was beat just as bad by aTm with a freshman QB as Miami beat them. K-State blows out a top 20 opponent and the struggle at Tulane looks very…[Read more]

To hell with Notre Dame, what is concerning to me is that no Big12 teams are in the top ten and the voters seem to have placed a glass ceiling on the conference. Miami meanwhile has shot up the polls by firing another kill shot into the already dead Sunbelt Billy and beating a couple of high school teams. I swear, Utehub is the only place people…[Read more]

  • I so appreciate that the coaching staff basically owned the fact that they were a major part of the first quarter issues because they tried to outsmart themselves. I have wondered with Lander if he is the green dot when Reed is not out there. Being responsible for lining up the defense plus trying to do too much knowing that he is playing with…[Read more]

  • I don’t think the bubble wrap is necessary so long as there are no 300lb metal billboards, masquerading as a hydration station, with sharp metal edges, sitting 5 yards off the field of play. The finger laceration has to be up there with the Reggie Bush ACL tear due to cleats slipping on concrete in St. Louis as the most absurd, random sports…[Read more]

  • I get you Tony, but think back, has there ever been a time in the last 20 years that it wasn’t the case the opponent had guys running free with a step or more only to watch the ball fall harmlessly to the turf? When you run man free it is a byproduct. But something must be going right on the front end to cause it. Accumulation of hits,…[Read more]

  • Yesterday didn’t concern me all that much. Over the years Utah has consistently had one of the best Defenses nationally. However, usually once a season there seems to be a game that is an outlier. The common denominator in these games (UCLA 2017, USC 2019, and others including yesterday) seems to be back-up qb/starter with a looooong leash,…[Read more]

  • The glove was protecting the stitches. Based on the location of the cut, the stitches should come out any day now. I was not at the stadium for warm ups, but if Cam was really throwing in warm ups like it appeared, that is a very good sign that it was just the stiches being in and not something more involved.

  • Or the Arizona game where Utah got 7 false starts on 1 drive. 2017 I think. Where Harding yelled back at Whitt to “Just fire me!” haha

  • San Jose St. got handed the keys to a Camaro and can’t handle the power. Arizona will be dangerous this season but won’t have the discipline or organization to contend. That offense is explosive but sustained drives have been hard to come by because they get in their own way. It’s weird.

  • No autobid = no interest. No Fox/Espn deal = no interest.

Hypothetically with autobid and network deal at #3 revenue:

Cal and Stanford return from ACC, Utah, ASU, and Arizona return from Big12. And controversial but Ybu making 12 (the muffs ain’t coming and will spend the next 20 years trying to recover from the past two). Plus, it would piss…[Read more]

  • They did, he missed reads on simple concepts and threw into double coverage multiple times when other receivers in the route were running wide open. You can call play 128 of 128 in the play book and it won’t work if the QB can’t make the decisions to operate the play.

Isaac forced the coaches to shut down the offense, not the other way around…

  • Mike Leach ran one of the most high powered offenses in college football for 20 years off a piece of paper that looked like a delinquents homework wadded in his pocket. And he did it from field level on the fly. Paul Johnson was the same way at Georgia Southern, Navy, and Georgia Tech and killed it for the most part even running the triple…[Read more]

Wilson had several easy schemed completions the first three series of the third quarter. He was missing reads on pretty simple concepts including one that would have gone for a 70 yard catch and run TD to Money. After that, the coaches had no choice but to shut it down, avoid a turnover, and get out of there with a win.

The D was out there…[Read more]

  • That. We have been spoiled (and whined about it the whole time) White, Booker, Moss, Jordan, Good Tavion, Jackson. We don’t have that guy this season. It doesn’t help that JaQuinden is averaging 150 and 3 tugs per game at Arkansas.
