Not withstanding the Wolfman (who was spectacular). 8-5 against 11 P-5 teams and BYU before the recruiting gap with a roster almost devoid of P-5 talent in the two deep, having to rebuild 60% of the offense mid year for the elite offensive player and not losing the team during the 4 game conference skidder was pretty darn good coaching.

I don’t think the team or the staff had any false sense of security. I sure as hell didn’t What Ludwig has done is nothing short of impressive. Each week the offense has been like an episode of MacGiver where he escapes with a gun made of paper mache. The problem is Jackson is his pocket knife and the escape never works without the pocket…[Read more]

Hellhound152 replied to the topic Are there any rules preventing Cam from transferring? in the forum Football 1 year ago
He needs Utah to file his medical redshirt papers at the end of the season. That process takes time to be granted. Technically he could after the paperwork was filed unless there was a gentlemens agreement before hand where Utah agreed to file the papers even in the event of a transfer.

Looking for “signs” based on an event 14 years ago that has no connection to the present. You may want to talk to someone.

Hellhound152 replied to the topic It’s time brethren. in the forum Football 1 year ago
By definition, Brethren is just a term used for a group of men with a particular devotion (in this case Utah football) and the video was indicative of another time where the odds were stacked against the Utes vs. Oregon and they rose above and prevailed. No shortage of subtext in this post but I guess it makes sense…

Why don’t you just name a thread “Jaylon Glover is deficient at _________” and we can all just chime in? Rather than attempting to find some deficiency in the coaching staff.

Good God, don’t drop the toaster. It was a loss, on the road, to a top 20 team. It was not a loss to a 1 win team at home. The season is not over, Utah will move the ball against other teams, particularly Colorado, Arizona, and Cal (two of which are at home). Step back from that ledge.

Truth. I saw him selling copiers the other night. Les Olson and everyone else is getting what they purchased which was a pitchman, not a D1 QB.

Hellhound152 replied to the topic What offensive plays are you calling tomorrow night? in the forum Football 1 year, 1 month ago
Not to be wet blanket guy again. I think it is critical to point out once again that the RPO is an actual set of plays that are run from the pocket. It involves a QB wrap zone read concept usually with a slant route to the vacated zone. The play generally is analyzed at the line by counting the box (light box run, loaded box pass). Then the…[Read more]

I personally think if he goes down and they lose a couple he won’t come back this season. I think his Dad sees the writing on the wall about his pro prospects hence the stay in College and milk that NIL for all it is worth. He will be the first QB taken but will have Manziel results because no one has actually taught him to play quarterback.…[Read more]

Watching them is insufferable if you love technical football. Nails never throws in phase, he seems to have a greenlight to do whatever he wants and looks even more reckless with the ball then last season but no one can cover those receivers for 7+ seconds while he jacks around out there and it turns into a school yard scramble drill. Then he…[Read more]

Ok here we go. Throw out everything that happened after fumble #3. Whit admitted in postgame that they shut the offense down. As far as why certain plays are ran the way they were ran. It has been well documented about the level that UCLA’s defensive front seven is currently playing at. Part of the strength has been defensive ends that do a…[Read more]

Chingis asked about his performance as a RS Freshmen, which Huntley was not because of different rules, they both played 4 games as Freshmen so the comparison is fair. Those were Huntley’s true sophomore numbers.

I have contended for years that the win that day was the most pivotal win in the modern history of the program. From that win Utah went 21-2 (UNLV the next week not withstanding) from that point forward to the Sugar Bowl and never looked back.

If not we then who? No. 11 lost to a team the Utes manhandled. FSU and Texas escaped against not top 25 teams. Others have yet to play a team with a pulse, looking at you Big10 three (I guess Penn State beat WVU whose coach is paying the hourly rate at the Best Western because he already sold his house). Congrats to USC whose best win is over…[Read more]
