Seems like sound reasoning to me. As always I hope for Utah to win every game but 8-4 is a pretty realistic guess.

Well that is fantastic news! I hope it holds true.

I just like to temper my expectations for an upcoming season until I see the team play a couple games. No doom and gloom from me but I’m not drinking the kool-aid yet.

Let’s just hope the defense can score 14 points a game. We may need it the season.

I don’t think many people would disagree with you that we can beat Florida without Kuithe. It’s just the fact that Cam probably won’t play that has everyone worried.

I’m just going to assume that neither Kuithe or Rising are going to be fully recovered this year so that I’m not disappointed when they aren’t. It just seems like rushing ACL recoveries never go as planned.

I’ve lost any hope that we will ever see a dominant WR group at Utah. I’m not sure I care that much though. I’ve been happy these last few years with great Tight Ends and Running Backs.

Totally agree with your thoughts on Cam and Tavion. We will not win the conference with the way the offense played tonight. Watching Cam zero in on Kuithe those first couple quarters was disconcerting. Holding out hope given how the team turned it around last year but I still have no idea if this team is actually better than last years team.

I just don’t think Utah has the athletes this year at defensive end and linebacker. Still think Utah can be a top 15 team just no way a top 5.

Actually I think Cam could be the love child of Wilson and Wynn. He is closer to Wilson in athleticism and durability but seems to have a football mind closer to Wynn.

Normally I am giddy for the season to start. It has been a weird feeling this week. I’m sure I’ll be really excited tomorrow around 3:00 but for whatever reason the lead up to the first game has been dull/muted this year.

….And I’m worried our defense is a bit undersized this year.

Normally the better team wins. That would be Stanford. I’d love to be surprised with an upset though.

I get the feeling it will be a game by game starter decision depending on the O-line match-ups. Pita should be a nightmare for SUU and hopefully every other team we face this year.
