homer replied to the topic New Poll – Rate your satisfaction with the 2018 Utah Football season in the forum Football 5 years, 10 months ago
I predicted 7-5.
I suppose I should be pleased. Last 2 games left a bad taste in my mouth.

homer replied to the topic anybody going the scalp route? Tickets arent expensive by any means in the forum Football 5 years, 10 months ago
I ended up paying $600 for 2 tickets sec 37 row 1, that’s right around the 50. That includes StubHub markup. And I bought day we got the invite. I didn’t want to wait.
In 93, after our loss to wazzu in the Copper Bowl, instead of driving the treacherous roads North through AZ, we bn opted to go on I8 to San Diego. We decided to go to the Holiday…[Read more]

homer replied to the topic 3* WR Donte Banton commits to Utes in the forum Football 5 years, 11 months ago
I wonder how/if this affects two other WR we are trying to get?
How many at that position might we sign?
Some might end up as DBs?

homer replied to the topic sigh … this might end up being a very brutal week (might need a new OC) in the forum Football 5 years, 11 months ago
Tuttle transfers, JD commits to ASU. Maybe TT sees something we don’t?
I wonder if he’s frustrated because he isn’t able to implement his offensive vision at Utah?
Utes are a power run first offense. We have more success recruiting players best fitting that scheme.
If TT bolts, I wonder how it affects
1 offensive recruiting, particularly…[Read more] -
homer replied to the topic Ticket Sales in the forum Football 5 years, 11 months ago
Schools are obligated to purchase a minimum number of tickets. Bowl tickets provided to each school are poor seats; corners, end zones, low vantage, etc. Nice racket, making sure the crap seats get sold with premium seats remaining for bowls sell or give as promos available.
Regardless of price I want a decent view. That requires purchasing…[Read more] -

Tickets through the Crimson Club are usually sketchy.
Looking at the seating chart they posted, I went ahead and purchased on StubHub too.

homer replied to the topic Vegas will have a great new stadium, but will never have a NY6 Bowl in the forum Football 5 years, 11 months ago
Only possibly would be to hold 2 bowl games, but as you said, LV wants rooms filled in an otherwise dead week, hence the current dates for the bowl game.
When you go the the Vegas Bowl, notice many shows are dark.

homer replied to the topic I just don't understand why Shelley would be allowed to play in Saturday's game. in the forum Football 6 years ago
Listening closely I heard Kyle answer a question with a question.
I heard from someone,(yeah I know sister in law’s boyfriend’s barber), not to be surprised if some starters rested this game.
A compromise might be let senior start and play a series or the 1st quarter. Tell them that for the team’s good, they need to get it done in a small…[Read more] -
homer replied to the topic We should schedule UCF in the forum Football 6 years ago
Ideally that would be great, away games in recruiting areas. Obviously the Texas and Fl teams want to play games in their alternate recruiting areas too. Scheduling them becomes problematic. It takes two to tango

homer replied to the topic Colorado is 0-5 after a 5-0 start. in the forum Football 6 years ago
Two weeks ago announcers said Buffs had lost 8 starters to injuries. Two more went out that game. Shenault, arguably the conference’s best wideout is back.
I haven’t seen much give up in Colorado, just a decimated team. Yeah, next man up, every team deals with injuries. Team depth is a significant factor in a teams strength. And yes, their early…[Read more] -
homer replied to the topic Because the Tuttle situation hasn't been discussed enough.. in the forum Football 6 years, 1 month ago
Earlier this year, Tuttle was lauded as a hard working, studius, humble kid who says all the right things and leads by example.
Now he’s a prima-donna.. . .
For whatever reasons, the kid decided Utah isn’t the right place right now. I’d wager he didn’t make this decision in isolation.
Maybe this is a win win for Utah football and Jack…[Read more] -

Level playing field regardless of stars. No PT promises. Earn P.T.
Seems fair to me.
That doesn’t mean JT is transferring because he couldn’t compete. Who knows?
BB team has had some notable transfers the last couple of seasons too.
Entitled.

homer replied to the topic Some Football notes and a lead off talk of Stadium Expansion in the forum Football 6 years, 5 months ago
Expansion will cost more than $40-$50million. That said the South end zone and facilities must be redone.
Last I heard that project in a modest design would cost around $60mil.
I think the market is a little softer than people think it is. Yeah 98% renewal, (I have several), but I struggled to sell my sick daughters tickets the last two …[Read more] - Load More
