You are kidding yourself if you think the comparison is between SLC and Bloomington/West Lafayette/Champaign. Those are college towns that nobody stays in. The relevant market for IU is Indianapolis (my home) which easily supports an NFL team. The Illini market is Chicago. I think itz pretty clear that Barnes understands that his days of playing QB are limited. Might as well milk it while it lasts. He has some local celebrity and can pile up some degrees. USU seems like a good spot even if he isn’t starting. Happy for the kid and wish him the best.

If true I am glad that Utah is playing this game and keeping up with the Joneses for the time being. I am all for these guys being compensated but we need to get some fair play rules or this whole thing will run away from us.

The guy will have played significant time in 4 college games, two of which were Rose Bowls, and faced Ohio State, Penn State, Florida, and Wazzu.

Was listening to a recent Bill Riley and Sly stated that if he was a full practice participant by this Thursday (2-weeks out from game 1), he would assume that Cam isn’t playing. I tend to agree.
