What concerns me is that supposedly a big portion of the valley isn’t LDS or not actively involved, and yet it’s the only thing the news organizations consistently push on the population–as if it MUST be important to everyone. Of course I’m against discrimination. But that word gets used a little too loosely in today’s society. A group or…[Read more]

Ok, so why not create a separate forum for folks like you that want to discuss Mormon policies, history, bloggers, etc. Why masquerade as a newspaper if that is not your purpose? That is the point of my post. The people in this state that are looking for actual news deserve better.
It’s like watching a week of Steven Colbert and realizing he’s…[Read more]

I clicked on the Salt Lake Tribune website for a moment today, and the front page article is “Mormon blogger trumpets alt-right racial views, but is out of tune with her religion.”
Seriously? This is what it’s come down to now at the Tribune? A front page story about the views of a Mormon blogger. So small time. You could chalk it up to a slow…[Read more] -

Last night was the first time all year that I’ve been legitimately worried about the direction of our program due to the man at the top. All year I’ve dismissed the struggles of the team to being young and going through growth pains. That is, untill I watched us get dismanted at home by a Mountain West team that is even younger and more…[Read more]

I saw that and it made me sick. That goes to show that losing to the Queens of the NIT has become accepted and tolerated. That needs to change ASAP.

If you ever want to know how your team compares with average, play Stanford and see how you do against them. I’m sad to say that after today’s result, we are below average. Or at best, playing below average basketball right now.
You see, Stanford basketball is the definition of average. That program was practically custom made for the NIT. Sure,…[Read more] -

Suicide bombing is in its own category of evil. I wouldn’t use polygamy and “sketchy temple stuff” as a comparative.

Between their obnoxious fan base and players that over-celebrate every single play, I’m beginning to think the Seattle Seahawks are the BYU Cougars of the NFL.
Not to mention they’ve got a douche for a coach and at least a dozen douche players. The Seahawks are in contention for the most hatable team in the NFL. Right now the Patriots have them…[Read more] -

There comes a point where some college athletes must acknowledge that their bodies are not physically up to the task of playing at this level. Jordan Wynn had to acknowledge that. It might be time for Kenneth Ogbe to acknowledge that as well. And if he doesn’t come to terms with that on his own, at what point does it make sense for LK to pull…[Read more]

We were underdogs to USC as well, but that didn’t seem to make a difference in terms of our motivation.

Oregon State will likely show some sparks of greatness every now and then, but make no mistake about it: they are a bad football team.

Yes, we are recruiting for 2016-2017. We lose Taylor, Loveridge, Tucker, and likely Poeltl. There will definitely be opportunities for playing time in 2016-2017. I’m surprised we are struggling to get some kids committed. Then again, we seem to be going after the cream of the crop.

iamthepreacher replied to the topic Is anyone else surprised that Webmonkey hasn't responded in the forum Football 9 years, 2 months ago
That is definitely the right thing to say, but I think in reality we don’t have a large enough web community of fans to justify 3+ fan forums. I suspect it will be survival of the fittest, and Utefans.net won’t survive unless something dramatic changes.
