  • He hasn’t been fired…yet. He is interviewing for HC jobs.

That being said, he will be fired. He was awful. Just awful. They only ran about five plays the whole season. He had arguably more talent than anyone and was just awful. It was no different than the offense he ran at Utah. Just awful.

Sirianni may or may not get fired (I hope he does)…[Read more]

  • He won the MWC? I guess he did the COVID year. I don’t know how much I’d rely on that. Outside of that, he’s incredibly mediocre.

Yeah, it’s hard to win at SJSU. But it ain’t the P12 or ACC. It’s not that hard to win there. And he’s never won over 7 games.

I’m not too impressed with this hire.

  • I wonder what Shah’s goals are. If he just wants to coach at Utah, make a shit ton of money and win, then I wonder if you could make him an AHC and special teams coordinator/CB coach and then make Swan DC.

I don’t know if Shah would want that, but its an idea.

  • Man oh man. I’m an Eagles fan. I personally witnessed an excellent OC (Steichen) lead my favorite team to greatness and leave…then watched their replacements (Sirianni/Brian Johnson) royally fuck up a team. I’m shocked at how bad those two have been. I freaking love Brian Johnson the Ute, but BJ the OC? He’s been the OC of two of my teams so far…[Read more]

  • If Scalley could get Ludwig to stay one more year after Whitt retires…that might be perfect. Although it wouldn’t shock me if Harding gets the OC job again when Whitt/Ludwig leave.

I think the biggest issue with Utah coaches is how will they handle losing Colton Swan. After we are in the playoffs next year he will be a hot commodity. Dude can…[Read more]

  • I think I’d rather have Fotheringham. BUUUUTTT…let’s see. He looked good in the video of him floating around the other day. If he looks like that in pads…then he could be really, really good.

  • Honestly…it really seems like Ryan is more a FB/blocking TE. I’d bet we see him more lining up as a FB this year than going out for passes.

He’s an old school player. And I think Ludwig’s offense and all offenses going back to bigger guys will really take advantage of him.

Remember Shaun Asiata? Think that type of player.

  • I’m not too worried about corner. Look at what we have:

Starters: Snowden and Vaughn. Both played solid last year, both have extremely high ceilings, both should be a lot better this fall. Two NFL potential corners is better than most.

For the third corner spot we have: Johnson (89) transfer from GT. He is a SR and former starter. A lot of…[Read more]

  • I don’t think I’d go to Utah if I was a QB right now. You know Rising is the starter and you know that Utah hopes Wilson is the future. That’s a tough spot to go to.

That being said, once spring ball is over…there will be a lot of QB’s that thought they would go to a P5 school and be given a starting spot who still don’t have a scholarship.…[Read more]

Why would you bring in someone like that? He’s old. He’s played in games and he sucked. If you bring him in, you lose Rose. We know Conover sucks. We can at least make ourselves believe Rose could be good.

Other than laughing at your BYU friends, someone like Conover makes no sense.

    His career stats:

    16/49. 33%. 175 yards. 0 TD’s. 3 INT’s.…[Read more]

  • The good news is, our HS recruiting means we will usually come ahead most of the time.

40 points a game is back on the menu boys and girls!!!

  • Utah replied to the topic Dorian Singer officially a Ute! in the forum Football 10 months ago

Hells yes! I was worried UW would try to get him with his connection to Arizona…as light as that connection was.

God damn! I’ve got the offseason optimism! QB – great. RB – solid. TE – above average to great. WR – maybe the best since Carrington was here. OL – above average.

This offense is going to fuck up the Big 12.

  • As an Eagle fan who lost the Super Bowl on a PI that was way less offensive…

The refs suck. They are trying so hard to be NBA refs. Mahomes flops and whines on every play.

    It sucks.

  • What’s wild is that you aren’t just hiring a coach. Fisch is going to try to bring as many Arizona players as he can with him, as UW is bare bones right now. That means Arizona’s roster will be decimated.

So, you need an up and coming coach AND that coach needs to be able to bring a QB, OL, defense, etc with them.

  • Ha. I glad they had fun running up the score vs us. Payback will be a bitch for them.

  • Nope. We want the conference as easy as possible. There is no “long term Big 12”. In 2028-2030, every Big 12 team will be begging to get into the SEC or B1G. Wins = a shot.

We need to win as many games as we can. We need to make the playoffs as much as we can.

Anything else is irrelevant. Look at the P12. It was a hard conference. Anyone can…[Read more]

  • Utah replied to the topic DeBoer to Bama in the forum Football 10 months ago

I agree with you there. Very interested to see how he does. He is taking over a well oiled machine and he’s a great coach. Can he maintain the recruiting? Because as a coach, he’s great.

  • Utah replied to the topic DeBoer to Bama in the forum Football 10 months ago

UW is barren for talent. They currently have the #10 overall class…in the Big 10. DeBoer hasn’t recruited well and all of Petersen’s kids are leaving. Lake sucked at recruiting and DeBoer didn’t step it up either.

Gonna be a rough couple of years at UW going into the Big 10. UW might struggle to make a bowl game next year.

    The smart thing…[Read more]

  • Here’s an Arizona related question:

With DeBoer all but headed to Alabama, what’s to stop UW from hiring Arizona’s HC and their HC taking all of Arizona’s top players with him to UW?
