Utah replied to the topic Funny meeting with a BYU fan in the forum Football 6 months, 3 weeks ago
That’s what is so great about BYU fans. They can create these scenarios where no matter what, they are right.
If we talk about winning the Big 12, we are delusional because we don’t know southern football and BYU went undefeated vs the worst P12 teams a few years ago and we have not real shot at winning it because we lost to Penn St and Ohio St…[Read more]

I like this. Big 12 teams all riled up over Utah. That’s cool. You do you. We will see you on the field in the fall.
Remember, Whitt had posts from cougarboard taped to the locker of Travis Wilson. If Big 12 fans think Whitt isn’t hearing what they are saying…heh heh. Should be fun. I hope Utah can handle the big, bad Big 12.

The Big 12 leftovers are so…strange. They have such a massive inflated view of themselves.
The thing I love most about them is the idea that we haven’t played any real football the last 10 years. That we haven’t played in stadium like theirs and against Big 12 talent.
I love it. That noise coming from a group of teams who has BYU as their…[Read more]

Utah replied to the topic Utah utes losers in the Transfer Portal? Or are we? in the forum Football 6 months, 3 weeks ago
We lost one starting C, a starting RB and a DE who had limited snaps and a WR who had limited snaps. How could we be losers in the transfer portal, even if we had no transfers in? And the C, left because he was passed in the depth chart.
We had a similarly rated RB transfer in with Anthony Woods. We did not replace the C who left. The other two…[Read more]

Anthony Woods is a .89 rated RB that transferred in. Jackson was rated a .92. We replaced Jackson.

Colorado won one PAC-12 game last year. One.
They brought in 44? 48? new players. Utah has traditionally relied on a lot of transfers/JC guys. They usually don’t excel year 1. It’s year 2 you see big progress.
Deion hasn’t shown that he improves players. He hasn’t developed a single soul. So he’s asking a whole new roster to come in and gel…[Read more]

This. Every single Big 12 team will be disappointed the they are still in the Big 12 in 2030.

Dominated by Penn St and Ohio St? Jesus you guys. Get out of the pity party.
It was 14-14 at halftime vs PennSt. We were up by 2 TD’s vs Ohio St at halftime. We fucking dominated Ohio St.
Both games were lost when Rising went down. Shit.

Huh? What top 20 team will we face this year?
So many fans think the Big 12 is some powerhouse league here. It’s a solid league. Not as good as the P12, but still tough.
Our DL did just fine in the P12, where USC, UCLA, UW, Oregon all have better OL’s than any we will face this fall.

Utah replied to the topic Strengths and weaknesses going into our 2024 football season in the forum Football 7 months, 1 week ago
This is such a silly point. UW is rowdier than any Big 12 stadium. As is Oregon. Hell, does BYU have a bigger stadium than any Big 12 team? Yup. BYU has a bigger stadium.
As does Florida and Michigan and USC.
Big 12 fans act like we haven’t played in a hostile environment because no one cares about Stanford.
It’s a joke. There is no sta…[Read more]

Anytime you travel across the country, you’ll probably lose. That why Alabama doesn’t leave the south.

Utah replied to the topic UU Football National Champions 2024 in the forum Football 7 months, 2 weeks ago
This is silly. Alabama plays Georgia twice every six years. They only have 8 conference games and a lot of those vs shitty teams. They play 2 G5 and one FCS every year.
And their one “big” OOC game? It’s in the southeast (so no travel) and it’s usually vs a team that isn’t as good as their name says.
Alabama is the king of saying all the right…[Read more]

Sure. How do you win in football?
1- have an experienced OL. We have that. We have 3 NFL OL. That’s incredible. We don’t fully appreciate how hard it is to find 6’6 guys who are 300 lbs who can move like ballerinas. And we have a lot of those guys.
2- have a great QB. We have that.
3-have an easy schedule. There is a reason why Alabama never…[Read more]

Utah replied to the topic Some talk online about Utah considering a move to ACC in the forum Football 7 months, 2 weeks ago
Here is the reality:
We have three levels of college football:
B1G/SEC
Big 12/ACC
Everyone else.
And in 2030, the Big 12/ACC won’t be around…or look drastically different.
Everyone is trying to jockey into the B1G and SEC. Utah has to put themselves in a position to get into the B1G and SEC as best as they can.
The question then…[Read more]

Uhhhhh. We play UCF in Orlando this fall.
We already go coast to coast.
I’d rather play Miami than UCF.
This is a no brainer. If money is equal, the ACC is better hands down.
The Big 12 sucks my dudes.
