Wilner’s prediction is more spot on. We should be a top 10, borderline top 5 team going into next season.

Utah replied to the topic Potential 2024 2-deep in the forum Football 10 months, 2 weeks ago
I know QB room has been the hot topic all year long, but we have about as good a QB room as anyone right now.
Rising, a guy who won two P12 titles. Rose, a backup with time in the system. Wilson, the young guy out of high school looking to take the world on fire.
Not a lot of schools with that type of talent in their QB room.

I think a lot of what people are forgetting when doom and glooming…the Big 12 ain’t the PAC-10. There is no USC, Oregon, UW, etc.
There is no team heads and shoulders better than us. Yeah, we can lose. But we can also win every game. Who is the best team in the Big 12? Us? Arizona? Then there is a gap down to the next level.

I love you man, but after the games this weekend. After seeing Oklahoma, Ohio St, FSU, Oregon State, etc lose much like we did with their backups…
Your take is about the dumbest fucking shit I’ve read today.
And I’m an eagles fan who just got stomped by Arizona. I’ve read some dumb shit today.

There is such an easy way to fix this:
Negotiate with the players. Unionize them, set a salary cap, set minimum/maximum salaries, and do this right. College football is nothing more than admins and coaches trying to suck every last penny out of the athletes before it falls apart. Capitalism, yay!

Oregon State got their asses kicked as well with a third string QB.
What Ludwig did with the QB talent he had was remarkable.

Man, we are set up for him so much better than BYU. Rising is coming back, and when Rising has a favorite, you get the ball. When Vele was healthy, he was getting 6-9 receptions a game. That’s almost 100 receptions per year.
And Vele just left. Roberts would have a chance to come in and be the #1 option on the team. We have no one else. We hope…[Read more]

Going along with this, the PAC conference is gone. I’d be surprised if there is even a Big 12 conference in 2030.
You’ll have either super conferences or the B1G and SEC will break up again. Either they break off or go the way of the WAC-16.
Either way, I don’t know if the Big 12 is even around. The left over western teams will reform the PAC…[Read more]

Damn. Some real wisdom in your post:
“We need to recruit donors over players.”
So true. The other thing that needs to change and fast, is the coaches need to have some say in how the NIL money is spent. Maybe Jackson isn’t worth the big bucks, but Whitt knows everyone is coming back and overpaying for a RB for one year is what will put us over…[Read more]

This is a 100% zoob made up fantasy (what they are best at) and Big 12 team fan being offended that we’d rather be with USC and Ohio State than Baylor and Kansas State and Oklahoma State.
Here is the reality:
The SEC and B1G make more money than anyone else and it’s not close.
The ACC is headed towards ruins.
The Big 12 is…whatever for…[Read more] -

Maybe. Maybe not. That’s the point. We don’t know.
If practices were open, we’d know more. So now, instead of knowing, we get to speculate, which usually leads to a lot of nonsense.
