Utah replied to the topic What's the story on CJ Jacobsen? in the forum Football 12 months ago
Yeah. If he stays small, he could be Kuithe. If he can get to 240, he’s Kincaid.
What does the mean for Utah fans? Nothing. He’s great either way.
For King, that 10-20 lbs is the difference between being drafted in the first/second round like Kincaid and being a sixth/seventh/undrafted guy like Kuithe.

I think he’d be smart to stay, just like I think Cam would be smart to stay. The less you have to think, the more you can just play. Dart knows what Ole Miss wants from him. Same with Cam at Utah.
If Cam leaves, he has to learn a new system, with new receivers, etc. If he stays with Kuithe, they come into the season a top 3 duo in an offense…[Read more]

He’s a freshman playing a OL spot. 99% of freshmen playing that spot are just too small.
Landon King will be a star at TE if he can get to 240 lbs. He didn’t play early in the year because he is too small as well. You just need time to get bigger. With the new transfer rules, we’ve forgotten that people need time to develop. For example, I used…[Read more]

Utah replied to the topic I hear Cam has decided to stay. in the forum Football 12 months ago
So true. What great news for Wilson. He gets to come in, learn from Cam, redshirt, get healthy and be ready in spring ball after a fall of learning the offense and sitting in the booth with Ludwig to take over.

Remember how I said I usually only watch one game a year to check in and it’s usually BYU and I usually leave frustrated and don’t come back?
Well, I watched last night, it was a lot of fun, and I’ll be back!

Utah replied to the topic Ludwig on Vaki in the forum Football 1 year ago
Duuuude. He was our leading tackler at one point. Have you seen his speed? He is as fast as anyone. He has 8.5 tackles for loss. He has two sacks. He has an INT.
He is a NFL safety through and through. Could he be a NFL running back? You know what? I have no idea. He averaged 2 yards per carry vs Oregon and -4 yards per carry vs Washington.…[Read more]

Utah replied to the topic Chip Kelley out in the forum Football 1 year ago
Sure, but he didn’t have a good program at all when he took over. Their team was devoid of talent.
And yeah, there are always reasons to fire a guy. Hell, most around here thought Whitt should be gone after two 5-7 seasons. Doesn’t mean you should do it.
So, who does UCLA go get? And how are they better than Chip? I dunno. I think I’d give him…[Read more]

Utah replied to the topic Surprise 4* QB committment in the forum Football 1 year ago
Man oh man. Just watched some film on him. He has a tremendous arm. So easy and fluid and the ball flies out of his hand. Wilson and Becker’s arms are better than anyone else’s on the team. Whether or not they can read a defense remains to be seen, but these kids are just better. The floor is so much higher than the QB’s have.
I’m pumped.

I don’t think so. I think they have been perfectly clear about all this. The winner of the Ohio State/Michigan game gets in, and the winner of the Oregon/Washington game gets in, assuming all four teams win out.

Utah replied to the topic Who could be back next year. in the forum Football 1 year ago
King will be a star. He needs to get a rid bit bigger, but he has a ceiling like Kincaid.

If UW and Oregon win out to the conf champ game, the winner will be in the playoff.

Utah replied to the topic Chip Kelley out in the forum Football 1 year ago
Man. I’m surprised. Kelly did ok, has a five star freshman QB and a solid defense. He looks like he’s ready to build his program and get great.
This is why programs like UCLA are never good. They aren’t patient enough.

Utah replied to the topic Am I the only one that would like to see what Kyle could do at the helm in the forum Football 1 year ago
Kyle Whittingham is Pete Carroll. They are the same, philosophically.
If he was at USC or Alabama or Michigan, he’d be like the early 2000 Trojans.
Amazing defense. Great run game. Highly efficient pass game.
He’s an elite coach. His teams would look like Alabama and Georgia. Elite defense. Very efficient offense. He’d be unstoppable.

Utah replied to the topic DailyTrojan article wondering if it’s too late to turn back in the forum Football 1 year ago
Totally agree. Like I’ve said 1,000 times, what’s the worst that happens?
The Big 10 and SEC break off and form a minor league.
Utah goes back to the MWC or PAC or stays in the Big12 and instead of 30 million a year makes 10.
Utah wins a lot of games, I root for them, we have bowl games or a playoff or something. My reality doesn’t change at…[Read more]
