I agree. If Barnes has any shot to play for us next fall, the coaches failed the team.

You missed the forest for a tree.
The point was “if we had a semi-hurt Rising we’d be great.”
The point was, “Rising is a damn good QB and we want him back next year.”
I never said I wanted Rising to play this year. I never said anything about his injury. I just showed a hypothetical example of a situation that shows how good Rising is.
And…[Read more]

Man, players like this…it’s too bad. Had he done the traditional route…let’s say he goes to Utah. Redshirts his first year. His second year is last year. He would have played in two Rose Bowls, vs Ohio State and Penn St. And let’s be real, he’s a lot more talented than Barnes. He might have won one of those. Then he spends all spring and fall as…[Read more]

I love these afternoon games. As we head out of the PAC-12, you realize more and more what a complete shit show it was. I’ll miss the teams, but I won’t miss the PAC-12 at all.

Here is my plan, if I was Whitt:
1 – Get Rising to come back. If we had Rising this year, we have one loss, at worst. If we have Rising next year and he is healthy, we roll through the Big 12. The Big 12 is bad. Hell, we probably roll through the Big 12 with Barnes. But we need Rising back.
2 – going along with #1, you believed Rising before…[Read more]

Our worst defenses with Whittingham, Sitake, Scalley and Pease was Sitake and it wasn’t close. Our worst recruiting was with Sitake and it isn’t close.
I don’t get where all this “he was a great defensive coordinator” talk comes from. It’s no small secret that Whitt was heavily involved with the defense when Kalani was here. It’s no secret the…[Read more]

Utah replied to the topic Any chance Ludwig retires at the end of the season? in the forum Football 1 year ago
Ludwig has been amazing this year. We scored 7 vs OSU compared to today.
QB3, RB1 and 2 hurt, TE 1 and 2 out.
Ludwig deserves a raise.

7-21 is not the best down you described.
We put up a lot more than 21 with Rising. We averaged almost 40 points per game last year.
Oregon beat us. But, we had Johnson at QB. He was 8/23.
We smoked OSU last year and with Rising would have done so again.

Utah replied to the topic Our future QB in the forum Football 1 year ago
Oh man. We easily beat Oregon State with Rising and I don’t know if we beat Oregon, but the game would actually be entertaining if we had Rising.

And in that decision making process…he can’t think on the fly. The interception to Vaki was a perfect example. Vaki runs an option route. Vaki sees that there are three defenders to the right, so he runs to the left. Barnes throws it to the right, where the three defenders are and throws an interception.
The reality is, we don’t know if Barnes…[Read more]

Utah replied to the topic CFP Ranking Theory in the forum Football 1 year ago
Here is what I see:
– The winner of Ohio State and Michigan will make the playoffs, if both win out to the conference championship game.
Because of this, if all other teams win out, the top 4 will be: the winner of Ohio St/Michigan, Florida State, Washington, Georgia.
BUT, UW and Oregon are ranked 5/6. This tells me that if both teams win…[Read more]

17 million…Crazy. He’s supposed to make between 88-110 million dollars. If he makes 88, he spent 19% of his income on his home.
If he makes the full 110, he spent 15% of his income on that home.
What a picture of responsibility and frugalness. Here I spend almost 40% of my income on my home. I should be more like him.

Utah replied to the topic Why can’t we draw more fans in the forum Basketball (Men) 1 year ago
1 – Utah basketball sucks. It’s not fun to watch. Well…actually, that is probably reasons 1-5. Most casual fans, like myself, tune in to one or two games early every year…and whether you like it or not, usually it’s the BYU game. And when we lose…eh. I have better things to do with my time.
2 – The PAC-12 sucks. Why should I watch a bad…[Read more]

I love how Riley goes down 0-1 then starts dropping the spin balls and quickly finishes the game. lol.
But, yeah, that is a beautiful house.

Man, now I really hope he goes to USC. He could make some connections with some coaches from Riley’s tree, really expose him to some new ideas. He’s a great coach and a great mind, let’s expand that thing as much as we can before his shortcomings cost us games (not saying they will, but the more you know the better).
