  • This is the reality. If Rose was healthy, maybe the coaches decide to put Rising on the burner and let him simmer and focus on Johnson.

While Johnson has all the potential in the world, this is his fourth season, if that, being a QB. He is just limited due to lack of experience.

  • I love these types of blanket statement statements.

Define knowledgeable Utah fans. Because if it’s based on insider info, this forum gets info before UteZone most times. Sadly, Whitt shut down the program and UZ doesn’t break news anymore.

So, by your definition, what’s knowledgeable? Even play breakdowns and schemes…as someone outside…[Read more]

One of the greatest defensive performances I’ve ever seen. It was beautiful. Reid and Barton are amazing. The DL is amazing. Just fun to watch.

  • Utah is undefeated. Utah has 8+ starters out. Utah has by far the toughest SOS. Utah is the defending PAC-12 Champion.

    And Utah is undefeated.

Until someone beats Utah, it’s Utah. They shown more, they’ve proven more, and they have the best record. Until someone beats them, it’s Utah.

  • I saw one of the greatest defensive performances I’ve ever seen. Yeah, the offense sucked, but at the same time, we shut the offense down. We know it sucked. BUT

Defensively…wow. What a performance. Absolutely incredible.

  • I agree. I left there last year and haven’t missed it at all. All the twitter people just moved to UteZone.

And that’s not a good thing.

I kind of feel bad for the UteZone owners, but they have completely sold out to the cougarboard-type fans in our fanbase and it shows.

  • The major flaw with the “Utah should have brought in a QB” is that we were supposed to be starting Rose right now. Coming into fall camp, Johnson was QB4.

We have no idea what Rose looked like and how we’d look if he wasn’t injured.

If the coaches really liked Rose, then it’s easy to see why they didn’t bring in a QB.

Utah loved going to butt fuck Idaho so much, they couldn’t get WSU, so they got the next best thing.

  • No QB practices live during the season.

  • Utah replied to the topic I wish the best for Kuithe in the forum Football 1 year, 2 months ago

    I disagree.

Kuithe has enough tape for the NFL. They just need to see if he is healthy and fast. So he will be in an NFL camp next fall if he’s healthy.

  • I mean, Auburn is a SEC team and their conference sucks. Their best team couldn’t even beat an overrated Texas team…

  • Utah replied to the topic He Tried Not To Score in the forum Football 1 year, 2 months ago

Remember the Super Bowl? Philly tried to let KC score. KC’s back had a wide open lane to the endzone and sat down. Philly tried to grab him and throw him into the endzone. I say score. Make them go 75 yards in less than a minute, but I don’t trust our kicker yet.

KC didn’t score, didn’t give Philly a chance to win. Both strategies are good ones,…[Read more]

  • I cracked up watching the Eagles this Sunday. They jump out to a 16-0 lead against NE and it seemed like Whitt called up BJ and said, “You know what to do now”. It was total bleed the clock, run the same two plays, don’t turn the ball over. It was nuts.

Look, I love Whitt, but he ain’t perfect and his #1 goal is to win the game. For him, a great…[Read more]

  • I thought Baylor was a scheduled loss. We won that game. Woohoo!
Weber St – big win for us.

UCLA in Utah – Let’s see how UCLA does, but I think we can beat them with an 80% Rising. They are good, but our defense is better and I like what I’ve seen out of the WR’s. We have weapons everywhere. We win this game.

    @ Oregon St – I know everyone loves…[Read more]

  • I agree with Whitt that it wasn’t PI. Once the ball is in the air, both players are receivers unless the defender tries to defend. Yes, #1 had his left arm, but he immediately let go and he didn’t impede the Baylor player from going after the ball. The ball was in the air and two receivers went for it and no one caught it.

#1 never looked at the…[Read more]

  • Utah replied to the topic Please, no more Barnes. in the forum Football 1 year, 2 months ago

This is such a lazy response. Throw some buzz words out and act like you accomplished something.

Why should Barnes start, since you seem to know it all.

  • I disagree completely. Vele stopped on both because they had S help over the top. It was two bad throws by Barnes. Vele made the correct reads.

And the Yassmin throw….that was terrible and we were lucky. Yassmin was triple covered and the two WR’s at the top of the screen were WIDE OPEN. There was a reason why Whitt chewed out Barnes after…[Read more]

  • At this point, I think the deep ball issues were Scalley’s fault, not our players. It looked like the defenders hit a certain depth and they didn’t guard the WR’s deeper than that. Go look at Bishop’s interception. He was too shallow.

I think Scalley and the defense had the scheme of “this guy hasn’t shown he can throw the ball deeper than 20…[Read more]

Oh my god. We watched our son play high school football last night and the Baylor crowd was doing all the same chants. lol. My wife commented on that.

  • Utah replied to the topic Jesus Ute Fans in the forum Football 1 year, 2 months ago

The reason why both teams use it as an excuse is because it affected both teams. Yes, it was a neutral condition, because it affected both teams, but neither team played to its optimal level due to the heat. So, Utah can see areas where they were fatigued and think, “we are better than that” and Baylor can as well.
