Honestly…we know it’s going to be Scalley 99% or Jay Hill 1%. Knowing this, I’d 100% be ok with Scalley going to USC. I think it would do him a lot of good to see how a completely different type of coach coaches. To see how to battle with an offensive mind and how to navigate a game plan that might put your defense in a bad position.

    Then we…[Read more]

  • I called it and they totally fixed my quickbuks for me. Even though I don’t have quickbuks…

But anyways, I’m super grateful because they said there was some security risk and bots were coming for me and they were so nice…they didn’t even want my credit card number like those scams want…I just sent them some gift cards…And they liked the…[Read more]

I think you have to study the crap out of the ASU game and find out how they got 4 TO’s. That is the key.

Also, if Jackson can’t go…we will get blown out.

Finally, we have hope. Remember, only three things can happen when you pass the ball and two of those things are bad for the offense. Pass heavy teams, while they have their advantages,…[Read more]

I think the answer is…maybe. Johnson is playing Nickelback, which is basically a LB/S/CB hybrid. Johnson is 6-1, 200 lbs. He is the dream size for outside CB. I’d bet money that is where they want him to be.

BUT if Bishop leaves (he shouldn’t) or if Vaki moves to the offense (he shouldn’t), then they can play Johnson at Safety.

    Ideally, we’d…[Read more]

  • This. If Jackson is healthy, we can beat any P12 team not named Oregon.

If Jackson is out…we need to hope that something has clicked with Barnes and he’s suddenly a lot better.

  • Oh man. They started 5-1 and now they are losing? Looks like their November collapse is happening.

I love this. This is what they wanted. Cincinnati and UCF and Houston as well. Well, they are getting it. And they are so far behind everyone else. It will take a miracle for those four teams to not end up the perennial doormats.

    Lol. And I love…[Read more]

You’re not wrong, but it’s not that simple. Oregon is good.

If you stack the box, they can throw over the top of you. If you drop 2 safeties, they can run up the middle. If you clog the middle, they can run/throw it outside.

And we haven’t even mentioned Nix running the ball.

Oregon is damn good. And to beat a damn good team, your offen…[Read more]

Because if Johnson looks good, then we all want Johnson and Whitt doesn’t want Johnson.

  • He might be able to make more money in one year…but nothing will make him look better than Utah. There might be opportunities for him to look as good as he could look in Utah and he may be able to put up better stats, but he won’t look better. Especially if Kuithe comes back.

  • Utah replied to the topic Whitt's presser in the forum Football 1 year, 2 months ago

There is a reason why we didn’t see Johnson: Whitt doesn’t like how often Johnson turns the ball over. Barnes turns the ball over less. Barnes beat USC. Whitt knows Johnson can win you a game, but is more likely to lose you the game.

Barnes is safe. Whitt knows 9 wins is still on the table and if you can get the run game going, you can beat…[Read more]

  • I don’t know why he’d transfer. He is the man at Utah. It’s his job. He knows the offense inside and out. Hopefully he will have Kuithe back and most likely Jackson. His OL will all be back. The defense is elite.

There really isn’t a better situation in the country for him. Ludwig’s last QB, Huntley, is in the NFL, beloved by all, and was named…[Read more]

  • Utah replied to the topic Bowl game in the forum Football 1 year, 2 months ago

Nah. We’d destroy them. It would suck as a bowl game because of that. They would struggle to get a TD and we’d run all over them.

  • Utah replied to the topic Jim Harding in the forum Football 1 year, 2 months ago

I have 100% been in Harding’s corner. I fully felt that he was a very good recruiter, which he is, and he just needed time to get his guys in. His first couple years he did an excellent job piece mealing together a line that was not up to P5 standards. Then the next few years, he got his guys in, but there was injury after injury after injury.…[Read more]

We are 100% going to face BYU somewhere. Let’s all pray they don’t get bowl eligible.

  • Utah replied to the topic Next year in the forum Football 1 year, 2 months ago

There is zero shot Barnes is QB next year.

It will be Rising or a transfer.

  • Utah replied to the topic Next year in the forum Football 1 year, 2 months ago

Vaugh and Johnson will be fantastic next year.

Bishop and Vaki will be elite.

That is the making of a top tier DB group.

  • Yes, the plays were too predictable.

No, that’s not what Ludwig wants to call. But when Jackson is hurt, we can’t do anything.

And Barnes can’t make the throws/reads to run more plays. To insinuate that Barnes can run a ton of plays and Ludwig isn’t calling them…give Ludwig more credit.

The biggest issue this year was headed into fall camp…[Read more]

  • Look at injuries:

    QB1 and QB2
    RB2 and RB3
    TE1 and TE2
    WR2

That’s every single skill position. Oh, and RB1? When he’s healthy, we beat USC. When he’s hurt, we lost to OSU and Oregon and almost lost to Baylor.

We have no TE’s, which is our #1 threat on offense throwing the ball.

When Jackson goes down, we have no legit RB’s.

    We have no legit…[Read more]

Not in the Big 12. Our secondary is good. And our OL…I’m ok if Utah decides to move on from Harding. I was always a “give Harding two years with his recruiting”. Well, it’s been 2 extra years and I’m not blown away. It’s ok to keep him. He’s ok. It’s ok to move on from him…because he’s ok.
