Utah replied to the topic Troy Taylor in the forum Football 6 years, 1 month ago
Eh. He wants to go home and have stability. Sac St wants a long term coach that won’t leave the first year they have success. It’s a match made in heaven.
Taylor is the guy who quit coaching college football years ago to go home and coach high school football.

work. I’d bet if those teams that lead the nation in offense knew that, they’d be good at offense.

Ok Utah fans, go get your tin foil out of the kitchen and very carefully place it on your heads.
How long did Taylor know that he was leaving? Onlyu claims that Taylor talked to Lisk a few weeks ago about going to the FCS level and putting up video game numbers.

Came down to Duke or Indiana…told his roommates he didn’t like his visit to Indiana so this is kind of interesting. Sounds like the best chance to play early.

While I’m surprised based on the money you guys pointed out last week I’m not at all surprised he took a head job. He has a tough time being told what to do and if you ever had the chance to listen to him on the headset during a game it would be better than watching the game itself.
One exchange this year had Holliday respond with…”I’m not…[Read more] -

I think there is a certain member of a organization who follows me around and downvotes all my posts…I think they think they are making Jesus happy or something. Or they are just a good old fashioned bully. ha ha.

I’d be surprised if Anae and Moss returned…completely dependent upon their draft grades. Both would like to go if it makes sense. On the flip side, I’d be surprised if Blackmon or Fotu left. Leki and his family (brothers played at Illinois and AZ) believe he could be a 1st rounder if he came back…I think he stays. Blackmon didn’t have the…[Read more]

He’s from NoCal so is comfortable there over EW…not sure that the HC was an option for him at the time either. Still had to prove himself. But you’re right if they can’t pay him closer to upper 3’s or low 4’s it doesn’t make sense.

Agreed…staff attrition is commonplace in college football. Top 20 programs have their coaches poached every year. Not a terrible thing…new blood and new vision often helps culture.
Big picture is Whit’s career is winding down. Anywhere from tomorrow to 2025 we’re going to have a new HC with multiple staff changes. Could it be someone wit…[Read more]

Onlyu replied to the topic looks like we might be losing Ena in the forum Football 6 years, 1 month ago
Every assistant coach in America wants to be elevated. They want the status of an increased title or responsibility, they want increased income for themselves/family or they want an improved locale just like any of the rest of us. Coach Ena is fairly young in coaching and wants to climb the ladder. Great for him and his family…increased…[Read more]

Utah replied to the topic I’ve been overthinking PAC-12 scheduling. in the forum Football 6 years, 1 month ago
Huh? This most certainly does not benefit USC the most. They would have to play Stanford and UCLA every year. And for Utah, instead of playing USC every year, they could insert in other teams, which means better chance for more wins.
How would going to less conference games hurt Utah? It makes our schedule easier.
And for BattleGround – the…[Read more]

8 game conf schedule. No divisions. Have the Cali schools play each other every year. Rotate the rest of the games.
Top two ranked teams play for P-12 title game. -

I don’t completely agree or disagree with you. He’s paid a top 10 salary. A shit ton of people would love to coach at a PAC-12 school for almost 4 million per year in significantly upgraded facilities.
I think it would be easier than we think to find a really good coach to coach here for the money we are paying Larry.

Interesting. If you switched Utah and NW in their posts I’d agree.
