  • It boils down to what I’ve been seeing all summer long…

If you are more talented than Utah, you can beat Utah. If you have the same talent as Utah or less, you will lose.

  • Here is my reply to all this: Sure. But the Big 12 teams have the same issues with us. Iowa St, Baylor and TCU will all go through that. Plus, they all have to prep for us having never seen us, and frankly, we are more talented than they are.

  • We are a deeper team than UCF. A couple injuries and they are an average G5 team.

They still need a couple more years recruiting to get to where they are contenders.

UCF at the beginning of the year is a much better team than UCF in November.

Huh. Thanks for this info. I’ll definitely have to look into this.

  • WHAT!!!!! Don’t buy this stadium bullshit. Utah has played at Michigan, Autzen, Florida, the Rose Bowl, Husky Stadium.

This stadium nonsense is just that. Nonsense. The crowd noise will not be a factor because it ain’t that abnormal.

Utah will struggle at Oklahoma St or Orlando Florida…lol. Give me a break.

Shit, we went to Baylor last…[Read more]

  • Do I think OSU and UCF are better than Florida? UCF – nope. Not even close. Florida is a much more talented team than UCF.

OSU – yes…and no. Look, Florida had more talent than Utah. Florida recruits better than Utah.

Cam Rising is 19-1 vs teams that recruit worse or about the same as Utah. And the one loss was Rising’s first ever road game…[Read more]

    Awesome. Thank you.

  • As far as playing Boise…this ain’t your momma’s Boise anymore and we actually have QB’s now.

The years Boise played and beat us, we never had a healthy QB.

We would absolutely destroy Boise St today.

  • For the record, this post wasn’t calling anyone out. I don’t think anyone on this board is saying these things. I just found it interesting that Utah really doesn’t fail to live up to expectations and usually exceeds them. That’s all.

Utah isn’t a school that performs better as the underdog, or fails in big games or anything else like that. Utah…[Read more]

  • Utah replied to the topic TV viewing and DVR in the forum Football 1 month ago

From what I can see, Fubo TV will have everything except for ESPN+. I don’t see a way to get that without signing up for ESPN+, but I do already have that with my Disney subscription.

My big question is, for those that have used ESPN+ in the past, can we restart a game? I won’t be able to watch on Thursday until about halftime. Can I start the…[Read more]

  • Utah absolutely lives up to the preseason hype.

    I posted this somewhere else:

Here is an annoying misconception about Utah: Utah doesn’t live up to preseason hype.

Utah was picked to win the PAC-12 in 2022. They won the PAC-12 in 2022.

Hell, since 2004, Utah finished ranked in the AP poll lower than their preseason rank three times…in…[Read more]

  • Utah replied to the topic Vaki getting some playing time in the forum Football 1 month ago

Whitt said multiple times that Vaki did not want to play offense.

  • Why do so many people wonder if Cam will be able to come back from his injury? Has there ever been a QB who has NOT come back from a knee injury like this?

Cam is NOT a running QB. He can run, but he doesn’t need to. He is a pocket passer who can hurt you with his legs. If he can’t run anymore, our offense will be just fine. We don’t need his…[Read more]

  • I don’t like this “hide things until we play a big opponent” strategy.

I don’t want the first time I run something to be in a big moment vs a big time opponent when nerves will be at an all time high. That is when mistakes are made.

Run it out vs SUU. Practice it in game situations. Sure, Oklahoma State will have seen it. Who cares? We are…[Read more]

  • I think the whole “don’t show anything” is a bad strategy. I think it’s dumb that the first time we do our “strategy” is vs OSU or Arizona. I’d rather practice what we want to do vs SUU, be great at it AND make OSU and Arizona have to worry about 15 things than the alternative:

Only run 5 things vs SUU, make that game closer than it should, leave…[Read more]

  • Utah replied to the topic Another B12 power ranking in the forum Football 1 month, 1 week ago

Yup. If we go 1-1 there we should be set for the year. I have us at 11-1 or 10-2. The only other hiccup I could see is if somehow UCF makes it through the year with no injuries. Then we could lose that game. But if they have any injuries to any sort of important players
we are just better.

  • Utah replied to the topic Michigan fans right now in the forum Football 1 month, 1 week ago

    Not me.

BYU won a title looking the other way with the honor code and pumping their athletes full of narcotics. Not one BYU fan cares.

It’s sad, but it is what it is. Just win baby.

  • I think they did a good job. I think putting Arizona and OSU back to back is the only remotely hard thing about this schedule.

Whitt’s last year, first year in the Big 12, Cam Rising

Anything less than 10 wins will be a disappointment.
