I think we should fall at the 8 or 9 spot but wouldn’t at all be surprised if we were ranked lower. You never know with the playoff committee since they weight their criteria much more stringently than the AP does. I think their first top 10 looks something like this:

We’ve had two coaches from this staff be promoted to head positions at other universities. Kyle now has 4 active Division 1 (both FBS and FCS) head coaches under his coaching tree. Is trying to force Texas and Texas A&M to continue their rivalry under penalty of stripping scholarships from the school(s) potentially not participating. An interesting note in the article states that neither school uses state funds to run their football programs.

I remember going to that board when we went up to Seattle and won in 2015. I believe it was Chris Peterson’s second year coaching and Browning/Gaskins were true freshman. People were straight up threatening and dropping slurs on Peterson and the players. That board makes Utefans look like a boys choir.

A total of 4 penalties were called last night for a whopping 40 yards between teams (Utah only had one holding penalty for 10 yards). Kind of refreshing to have a crew that just lets the kids play.

Jaylen Dixon only has 11 receptions on the year but he’s averaging 26 yards per catch. Most of these receptions he’s well behind the defense but the balls tend to be thrown behind him and none have hit him in stride. As noted below, nearly half of the Top 25 lost yesterday. Utah is set to be a big mover and Texas is going to be a big faller. Comparatively Texas has the better win (Oklahoma) but Utah has the better losses. 18-25 all lost this week with the exception of Utah.
