The stupid thing about the “hide the injury for strategic advantage” is Whitt isn’t winning these games. He literally accomplished nothing by doing this song and dance.

It is so stupid. This and closing practices are just dumb decisions made by Whitt. I love the man and I hope he never retires, but he is just wrong on these two things.

BYU is good. Their schedule will come down to this five week stretch:

Arizona, OKSU, Utah, Kansas.

That is a tough stretch.

The Big 12 isn’t tough. They are dirty.

BYU is so desperately trying to become Utah. Their whole defensive coaching staff is former Utah coaches. The defensive coaching is elite. Hill, Sitake, Gary Andersen, Justin Ena, Pouha…Then add in Poppinga.

BYU has excellent defensive coaches right now.

If I’m Utah State, I do everything I can to get Jay Hill and a couple of those coaches to Logan.

We don’t lose games we shouldn’t.

If you take away Florida, Oregon, Ohio St, Penn St, USC, teams that are all vastly more talented than we are, Cam Rising is 19-1 vs teams that aren’t those teams.

No team in the Big 12 is vastly more talented than us.

That is what I am hearing as well. I’m ok with it. I think Wilson really looks good this weekend. His big issue is no TO’s.

With how bad Arizona’s defense is, I could see Wilson having close to 300 yards passing and 2-3 TD’s. He just can’t have turnovers.

I think the ACC and Big 12 will dissolve and 2-3 new conferences will merge. I wouldn’t be surprised at all if you end up with 4-6 ACC teams and 4-6 PAC-12 teams in a nationwide conference where the west coast teams play each other and have two cross country road games and two ACC teams come to them every year.…[Read more]

We fucked up OKSU. Honestly, after watching that game and then watching KSU play…there isn’t a single team that can hang with us. We should roll through the rest of the year.

We are just heads and shoulders better than everyone else.

If our defense limits big plays and Rising plays, we win big.

If our defense doesn’t limit big plays and Rising plays, we win by 10 or so.

If our defense limits big plays and Wilson plays, we win by 10 or so.

I mean…we are just better than any other Big 12 team.

As long as we show up and play Utah football, there isn’t a Big 12 team that can beat us.

We beat 6-1 USC on the road last year.
We almost beat 14-1 UW on the road last year.
We beat USC and Oregon on the road in PAC-12 title games.

We’ve been just fine on the road vs good teams.

This is why I’m so excited for this game. All these stupid OOC games vs nobodies…who the hell are we and who the hell are you?

Well, we get to start to find out. I am really excited for this game. I still believe it comes down to “can Bowman carry OSU” and I’m not sure he can. But I can’ wait to finally play a real game.

Only 9 teams have a worse defense than OSU. They can’t stop the run. They can’t stop the pass. They can’t run the ball.

Utah State has a better defense than OSU and Utah State has been torn apart by USC.

But if anyone thinks Whitt and his team aren’t…I dunno. They 100% are. Utah has a shot to take down the crowned champ of the Big 12. Make a huge statement.

Yeah, this conference sucks. The games suck. This should be our USC weekend. Instead, we get OSU.

And we have to pretend that a team that can’t stop the run, pass or run the ball themselves is somehow equivalent to USC.

It literally doesn’t matter. Utah State has a better statistical defense than Oklahoma State and Utah State has played against us and USC.

Oklahoma State has played a FCS team, Arkansas and a terrible Tulsa team.

If Wilson has to play this weekend, he will be facing a worse defense than he faced last weekend and he did just fine.
