  • If I’m Utah, I go all out for Brown at Ohio State. Kid played in Utah, parents still live here. Get him some cash and promise him a shot at starting from day 1. He still has four years of eligibility. So if he loses the job to Rising, you’d still have him as the starter for three years, ala Huntley/Rising.

Would be very disappointed if we lost:
Colorado – we are still deeper and better.
BYU – we are just better and we owe them one.
Baylor, Iowa State, Houston, ASU, SUU – Again, we are just better.

    We could lose:

Arizona. They are headed in the right direction and whipped us this year. We owe them a loss. UCF. Like Extra said, a cross country…[Read more]

I’m with you on a lot of things. I think had we beaten Ohio State in the Rose Bowl, Whitt would have called it a career.

That being said, I think had we beaten Penn St…Whitt would have the playoff taste in his mouth.

And with the expanded playoff format next year, the goal 100% should be playoffs. 100%.

Our toughest game next year might be…[Read more]

  • Let’s look at his QB’s:

Ratliff: 5 years in the NFL
BJ: Great college QB, soon to be NFL head coach come Feb.
    Pro Bowl QB Tyler Huntley
Cam Rising, who has won two PAC-12 titles.
Mike McCoy: 4 years in the NFL. NFL coach now.

That is pretty good. I think we ought to let Ludwig do what he does.

    QB’s at other schools:

    Ryan Lindley – 4…[Read more]

This and the easiest opponent possible. I want to end this year on a win.

Also, I feel bad for Rex. He wanted to be at Utah. He was talked out of it due ridiculous reasons. Had he been at Utah, he would have been the focus of the offense this year. With Kuithe out and Yassman getting hurt…he’d been our #1 target and we would have built the offense around him like we did with Kincaid.

What I find hilarious about BYU is that their best year was the year right after COVID. A year that they had no restrictions, a full schedule and a full practice leading up into the next season. While the PAC-12 was ultra-conservative with COVID…reduced games, reduced practices, etc.

BYU goes 5-0 vs the PAC-12 and thumps their chest and talks…[Read more]

If Oregon comes out focused and thinking they will lose, Oregon will win big.

If Oregon thinks they will blow UW out, then it will be a close game.

I’m ok with Barnes transferring. He played his heart out here and I love him for it. But Utah is going to do everything they can this spring to bring in players so that Barnes never steps on the field again.

Barnes has played in Rose Bowls, has been a starter, has won big games, led comebacks vs USC…he’s had quite the career at Utah.

    And he…[Read more]

  • IF he’s gonna leave…it isn’t for A&M.

A&M has money…but Utah is a better program. Better players, better chance to win, better shot at the playoffs. I’m not even sure A&M’s facilities are significantly better.

So, he’d be leaving 100% for the money. And he’s had a ton of chances to leave for the money. I don’t know why he’d leave now, when…[Read more]

  • Whitt has spent 20+ years building Utah into a playoff team.

Next year Utah is a playoff team.

I don’t see him walking away when he is this close.

  • Utah replied to the topic The portal in the forum Football 1 year ago

Pull up Utah’s roster. Sort by position. Look at any position that isn’t OL/DL.

Then find FR/SO who didn’t play this year and have a SO/JR ahead of them.

    That’s who will probably transfer.

Then look at our starters. If there is a JR behind them, more transfer candidates.

  • Yeah, if Nix and Oregon come out and spank UW like they should, Nix will get it.

  • It’s fucking incredible.

Let’s go win a bowl game.

  • Utah replied to the topic So happy for Luke Bottari in the forum Football 1 year ago

This football team is the definition of fucking Utah fucking football. It’s beautiful.

You need the stars. You can’t win it all without the Rising’s and Kuithe’s and Pittman’s and Barton’s and Ellis’. You have to have those guys.

But you need the backbone of your team as well. You have to have guys that work and work and work. Work to get…[Read more]

1 – I love Ludwig and I don’t want him to go anywhere and I’ll fight anyone who says otherwise…but he can be predictable. And you kind of know when Ludwig is going to try something different. I mean, are you ever really surprised when he tries a trick play and it fails?

2 – As far as us being burned…I think that is Scalley’s fault, and that…[Read more]

I forgot about that. Must suck to not go bowling your senior year. lol.

  • Utah replied to the topic Wow, 2023 has been a crazy season in the forum Football 1 year ago

The only solace I take in all this is that Utah is not mentally weak and Colorado is the weakest team I’ve ever seen. I’m sure Colorado will come out fired up, but if we can hit them in the mouth, they will fold.

  • Utah replied to the topic What to expect on Saturday?? in the forum Football 1 year ago

Not a medical RS. Rose has already redshirted. So, if he want to RS this year, it has to be a medical redshirt. If he plays…then no medical redshirt.
