That’s good ol’ Whittingham mis-direction right there. It’s full on triple option all season long, just wait!

J Rocksville replied to the topic Chris Curry and RB room in the forum Football 3 months ago
I dunno man, he may be a pessimist, but being a pessimist or an optimist doesn’t inherently increase your understanding of reality. I think the reality is that no matter what we say, what we think, or what the coaches, say none of us actually know what’s going to happen with the RB’s at this point.
We’re all entitled to have different opinions…[Read more]

Ya, it’s crazy that SI has devolved into the worst source of news. It’s been a long time since anything with an SI url has provided anything useful or insightful. I don’t even click them anymore.
I think Rising’s knock has always been his long ball accuracy, but I also think the lack of deep threat receivers has played into that as well. Now…[Read more]

J Rocksville replied to the topic Cranky Old Man Prime? in the forum Football 3 months, 2 weeks ago
It’s weird to me the show he puts on about being such a good father, when his 24 year old son is going through bankruptcy due to court settlements from when he beat the shit out of a teacher at age 15. I feel like Deion should be on the hook for that since he was a minor.

J Rocksville replied to the topic Just For Funsies… Cam for Heisman? in the forum Football 3 months, 3 weeks ago
If we pass 10% more and have more yards after catch from receivers, you could see how Cam could get to 3500+ yards and 40 TD’s, but your point is valid. I think Cam has about the same odds of a serious Heisman run as we have at a serious championship run, and each one drastically increases the odds of the other.
As far as SUU goes, I think…[Read more]

Near fisher you have Tf brewing, kiitos brewing , and my personal favorite Bewilder Brewing all with good beer. Bewilder has great food as well. You can do a mini pub crawl right there before or after the game.
Tailgating is fun, weather will be unpredictable… Could golf, could sled. Who knows.

J Rocksville replied to the topic Seeing talk about FSU and Clemson being courted by the Big 12. in the forum Football 4 months, 1 week ago
I wonder how those brands could do as independents for a few years? Or the ultimate plot twist, they join the pac 12 in some weird Frankenstein formation ha ha.

J Rocksville replied to the topic Seeing talk about FSU and Clemson being courted by the Big 12. in the forum Football 4 months, 1 week ago
If I were Clemson and FSU…Miami too…I’d be putting smoke signals out that they have a potential deal to the Big 12 too. Even if the B1G and SEC prefer not to take them, they probably prefer not to strengthen the only other league that could possibly compete with them. Giving the B12 2-3 big name programs closes the gap a bit between us and…[Read more]

J Rocksville replied to the topic B12 Twitter – Utah's Response: Short 4 Picture Read in the forum Football 5 months ago
Who is this guy and what makes him think he understands the position of all Utah fans?
Some of that is accurate, but the idea that twitter b12 fans somehow made an entire fan base, 98% of which have zero visibility into the tweetesphere, all rally simultaneously to adopt this villainous persona is weird.
95% of the fan base isn’t engaged in…[Read more]

J Rocksville replied to the topic Greg Flugaur talks about potential for Utah to B1G in the forum Football 5 months, 3 weeks ago
Ya, maybe, but I’d rather be in the b12 as presently constituted than the ACC minus Clemson, Florida St, Miami, UNC etc. What’s left doesn’t look good.
A much better solution would have the b12 take in Miami, Cal, Stanford…maybe Oregon St and Wazzu and like Louisville or SMU. That would give some nice pods for a big 20-22 team mega conference.…[Read more]

J Rocksville replied to the topic Some talk online about Utah considering a move to ACC in the forum Football 5 months, 4 weeks ago
I wish the pac 12 and acc would have formed a coastal super conference with a conference championship game. Would have given lots of TV inventory in lots of time slots to spread between networks and streaming, lots of power schools and household brands in the major sports, and probably a product that could compete with the b1g and sec.
I know it…[Read more]

J Rocksville replied to the topic Wild Whitt in the forum Football 6 months, 2 weeks ago
Whitt has us all fooled. Full air-raid this year. Rising throws 40-50 times per game. Racks up 5000 yards in the air, 45 TDs, 10 picks. Borderline first round pick.
I mean, it would be the least Whitt thing that people would expect and imagine a successful air raid with a very strong defense behind it.
Pound it up the middle and throw screens…[Read more]

J Rocksville replied to the topic First offensive play this fall in the forum Football 6 months, 2 weeks ago
I feel a steady stream of 8-12 yard passes over the middle, and runs outside until we get to conference play. We don’t have the backs to pound it down their throats, and no reason to show too much of our long game over the top. Just let the play makers make plays in space.
I think we have enough offensive play makers that we will be hard to stop…[Read more]

J Rocksville replied to the topic My future dream-team coaching staff in the forum Football 7 months, 3 weeks ago
I realize this is all anecdotal, but are all of those guys even coaching?
I get the sentiment to bring back star players as staff, but being good at football doesn’t necessarily make you good at teaching football or recruiting.
I’d actually be surprised if Covey doesn’t hang them up in a year or two and come back to coach. That dude just seems…[Read more]

J Rocksville replied to the topic Reddit discusses (based on The Athletic) which Big12 team could win an NC first in the forum Football 8 months ago
I agree, but even the best teams have a tough time and need a lot of things to fall their way. The NIL situation is the wild west right now, but even with the income gap between the B1G and SEC to the B12, they can’t pay EVERYONE. Nobody is going to be paying 3 TE’s 7 figures each, so kids that aren’t cracking the rotation right away are going to…[Read more]

J Rocksville replied to the topic Recruiting: Bear Tenney TE predicted to commit to Utah in the forum Football 8 months, 1 week ago
Sheesh, that kid is on the run. His profile says American Fork, that Twitter post is from LA, his stats in 22 are from AZ, and from Texas in 23.
The other TE on our visit list, Vander Ploog, looks like a good get. I’d assume he’s more of a pass catching TE with his dimensions, and Bear is more of a traditional big body TE.
