Ya man, you’re right. It was an off the wall post. I was having a shitty afternoon and guess I felt like hammering on my keyboard a bit. My apologies. I also didn’t intend for the topic to become political, it was more of an observation of potential national attention that might come our way.

I don’t feel like I should have to spoon feed you my point because you (you, the highly informed singular consensus) feign lack of understanding. Either you do understand the point or you’re, or you are totally clueless to how messages are disseminated through media and to the average public. More likely you do understand and just disagree with…[Read more]

Regardless of our thoughts on it, it still has potential to cast a negative light on our state and institution. I think there are likely lots of people who don’t know all that much about the situation, and will take whatever spin the media and NAACP choose to put on the story.

If we have a 1000 yard receiver.
Imagine what the run game could do if defenses legitimately had respect the receivers.

You know, it is actually possible to make the best possible decision, and still not have it work out.
None of us know what happened on the inside. Even with the benefit of hindsight you still don’t know all that went into those decisions. You can have an opinion of course, but even with all the info we have we still don’t really know what went…[Read more]

J Rocksville replied to the topic 50% of Total CFB viewership from only 18 brands from 2016-23 in the forum Football 9 months ago
I think the buzz there is about a person, not the football. The actual product isn’t worth watching unless they are playing a team on their level, like Colorado St. We beat them with like are 5th string qb and half our starters out.
But maybe if we truly believe the quality of football is that much lower in the B12 then Colorado might be able to…[Read more]

I get that, and maybe I’m smelling my own farts, but of all the brands in the big 12, and all the potential story lines with the pac schools coming in, who brings more football buzz than Utah?
We may not be a blue blood but I have to believe we bring more eyeballs than Houston or Iowa st. We really should embrace the heal role and get people to…[Read more]

Only time will tell. I “want” to believe that Ludwig tailors his offense around his weapons and I think there is historical context there. Last year, there just weren’t very many weapons and he was forced to keep changing on the fly. At least that’s what I hope time will prove.

Big shoes to fill, but he’s got about 10.5 million reasons to give it a shot.

J Rocksville replied to the topic ESPN has the Utes as #13 Going into Next Season in the forum Football 10 months, 2 weeks ago
I think 13 feels about right. 5 seems way high, but even being on these preseason lists after having a “down” year and visibly losing some pretty important players to transfer and the NFL is a sign that we’re finally being respected. We’re not a team that needs 3-4 years to rebuild after a top ten season anymore. We’re a team that is expected to…[Read more]

I’m not disagreeing with you. Evidence suggests he could be a bad egg, but if we don’t know then we don’t know. It was nearly 3 years ago, so he was probably 20 years old at the time? I know in Utah it’s generally assumed that a 20 year old is a fully emotionally mature adult capable of making informed and intelligent life decisions, but that’s…[Read more]

I grew up in a pretty poor neighborhood and went to a pretty poor school. I found myself in some pretty shitty situations due to some people that I was around either directly or indirectly several times. Guns, knives, drugs, violence, destruction of property etc. I’m not a violent person or a drug user, but I didn’t have the judgement at that age…[Read more]

I read somewhere that they were trying to change last season to a medical red shirt, and this season just a standard red shirt. No idea if that’s actually true or not.

Mack Howard is gone now too. I don’t think we have a choice but to bring in a transfer QB.
I appreciate Barnes and what he did for us, but he deserves to chase his dream and he wasn’t a P5 QB. I hope he goes someplace like SUU where he can be close to home and can be the star, but it wouldn’t surprise me to see him land some place with a really…[Read more]

If that kid shows up in two year as a RS Freshman 6’2″ 210 lbs, he could be a stud. He’s small, but he’s still young.
