Based off height and wingspan he’s not a specimen but he’s not undersized. He’s an athletic specimen though. No doubt. Not gonna argue that. 5-10 is average corner size. Nothing wrong with that. Go Utes!

I did not mean he’s undersized by any means. He’s just not a “specimen” height or wingspan wise. But not small. Athleticism is a different story, he’s an athletic freak. Makes him play bigger than he is. He’ll do great in the NFL.

His shoulder definitely was a concern. That and poor evaluation and teams caring more about what school players came from than actual ability.

5-10 at cornerback definitely isn’t a specimen. Definitely makes up for it with speed and athleticism.

Broughton was also very solid. Depth was only a problem because we had 3 guys on the outside go out for the season which is very unlikely. Vaughn and Marks are quality depth. Latu is a safety. Free safety is the only question mark with the DB’s going into next year.

Love Clark! But if Jaylon Johnson wasn’t a first rounder, there’s no way Clark is unless he makes bounding improvement. Not a criticism in any way, Jaylon was just a beast.

Don’t get me wrong, I love Tavion and I am ecstatic that he’s coming back. But he had 2 games this year where his longest run was over 25 yards. He needs to get faster, he has no break away speed. But I’m sure they know that and will address it. Adding some speed would definitely help his draft stock.

I have one reason why he won’t make it as a strong safety. Cole Bishop. He’d have to play free safety or somewhere else. Bishop is better at SS than FS and is the future of the defense.

Unless Ritchie comes home early he’ll be out another year, along with Fotu who was also impressive as a freshman. The coaching staff seems to like Vaki, safety battle will be interesting to see.

Elliss and Suguturaga got more snaps than him, especially as the year went on. Wonder where he’ll end up.

Too bad, but the coaching staff seemed to prefer Elliss and Suguturaga.

We have depth at corner, it was pretty crazy to lose 3 different guys for the season at one position.

And an amazing touchdown, one of our best athletes.

Getting Akana is big for another reason. I believe this is his cousin, biggest prospect in the state next year.

Smith-Njigba is a Freshman (due to covid year) but has only been there 2 years so he will likely play because he can’t be drafted next year.

Crazy to think that Rising has still not had a full normal offseason with this team. Needs to get more accurate and get better at setting his feet (which will improve accuracy).
