With the way we utilize receivers (or the lack thereof), the WR room really isn’t a problem, but it’s also the reason why the good talent is leaving. It doesn’t hurt on paper because they don’t put up big stats, so it’s not difficult to replace, because we don’t use them much.

OnlyU has made it clear multiple times that Wilmore was healthy at the end of the season and could’ve played but didn’t because he was 3/4th string, he averaged 4 yards per carry less than Ty and 2 yards per carry less than Bernard, he got passed up.

Wilmore was never impressive and was passed up by two freshman, to be fair we haven’t seen what Pledger and Curry can do in our system, I would still bet that at least one of them is better than him, if not both.

Has so much more to do with scheme. Anyone who watches him closely knows he’s easily a 1000 yard receiver on a throw heavy team. His talent was wasted with us, so from a statistic stand point there isn’t much to replace, but he was our best outside WR by a good margin. We have good young talent that still needs development, but Thompson was ready talent.

Statistically speaking you’re correct, but we just wasted his potential, Parks and cope will likely still need more time to grow, but Thompson was NFL talent in our hand already developed, should’ve given him 5 touches minimum a game.

I wouldn’t be so nonchalant about it, there’s a drop off from him to the other outside receivers.
