It’s not a coincidence that our passing defense suffers when our D-line fails to get pressure on the quarterback. We put guys on islands, and no matter how good they are they will get picked apart if the quarterback has too much time. We also played some of the best passing attacks in the country in Oregon, UW, and Arizona.

They also called the absolute worst plays for him. They let him hand it off and only throw slants, and were surprised when we couldn’t move the ball. Watch the types of plays we call change when Barnes came in during that Oregon State game.

I think linebacker can be a big net positive. It might’ve been our weakest position group last year. Damuni is a big experience add, and Barton was continually getting better as the year went on. Medlock continues to improve and I believe we get Fotu back from his mission and he got plenty of playing time as a freshman and looked good. I hope the coaches really evaluate the backers and don’t just give past starters their job back because they started before (Karene)

He was a glorified short yardage back. His vision allowed him to hit the right holes to get into the end zone or the first down. Outside of that, he wastes his frame. He’s nearly 6-3 230 and goes down at any contact that isn’t a weak arm tackle. He never lowered his pads to punish a dude like Moss continually did. He’s also way too slow. After he gets 5 yards downfield he’s mediocre at best. He only averaged a little over 5 yards a carry and disappeared in big games. 3.7 ypc in the rose bowl, 3.5 in the pac championship, and 4.5 against Oregon the first time. And these were games we had a lot of offensive success. He also has a huge fumbling issue.

Mariner/Wilson couldn’t catch a cold and literally lost us a pac championship because of it.

Stop with the slot receiver BS. Dudes a running back and a very good one. Go watch his game against TSPP if you need a reminder of what he is. He’s a nice weapon to throw to out of the backfield but he’s not a slot receiver.

Not happening, Alabama is in no matter what, they won’t keep a 1 loss SEC champ out.

I would disagree that he’s anywhere near the most talented back we’ve had. He’s way too slow to be an every down back, and goes down way too easy for being ~6’3 230.

Despite being much smaller Moss was a much more physical runner than Tavion was, and was faster. Tavion runs like a lineman. Tavion short yardage vision got him his touchdowns, but he vastly underutilized his frame

Only one who gave his all during that 2021 TSPP game
