That’s a low blow Champ. Bottom line he wasn’t healthy enough to play. Cam felt the pressure to play and hoped he could gut it out. The injured leg was a nail in the coffin. We don’t know the extent of the injury but you know it’s bad. Out indefinitely or season ending?

A players only meeting would be time to air out any issues players are having with schemes coaching and how to move forward. Team leaders will relay the message to coaches.
I think the only issue the players might have with Cam is the long leash he was given Friday. The offense played well but Cam couldn’t deliver. If I was on offense or d…[Read more]

Or move to get out of trouble or run for a first down. If you can’t throw you better be able to run.

Thanks for the insight Ghost. We as fans have no clue what’s going on inside the locker room. We have weapons but Rising can’t throw and Wilson is being nurtured. Seems we are not utilizing our offensive talent. Maybe we need a college style offense instead of a pro style?

I agree Miami. I’m a huge Cam fan and I would have taken him out when it was clear he was hurt. Playing through an injury is one thing. Playing through two injuries (hand and leg)is impossible.

Yes Anfernee the whole team seems snake bitten. Would Reid or Tanuvasa made a tackle on Scattabos two long touchdown runs?
I sometimes wonder if this hard physical play mantra is sustainable at times. Sometimes just wrapping up and making a tackle works over trying to decleat someone.
Our offensive line was really good last game. Too bad we…[Read more]

Ludwig is a great coach with a healthy Cam. Not so great without him. Cams ability to run for first downs and move the chains made Ludwig look good.

We finally get our QB back and first series he gets hit and twists his knee or ankle. We got a glimpse of why he hasn’t played. He still can’t grip the ball. I would guess 50% of normal to start the game throwing. His ability to run and put a spark back in the team was worth the risk even though Wilson gave us a better chance to win.
It was obv…[Read more]

Jim Vanderhoof replied to the topic Did fans and the media factor into their decision to go w/ Cam? in the forum Football 1 month, 1 week ago
What player wouldn’t want to play? Especially Cam since he has been criticized already for not playing hurt. It’s on the coaches to decide. It was a no brainer to me after watching him struggle to pass and then lose his mobility. Whitt should take some heat.

100% true Charlie. When I saw him get bent backwards I thought for sure he was out. The problem the injury now he is immobile and can’t throw both. At least without the leg injury he could run for first downs or get out of trouble.
I’m a huge fan of Cam and was surprised to see him struggle to throw. I can see now why he hasn’t played. Add a leg…[Read more]

Ouch. Three of our top defenders and two backups that would have been starting. Next man up. Hall needs to step up and get a sack at LB.

Skattebo is a human bowling ball. Tough to tackle he stays low and is powerful. He took a beating last week against Kansas. He doesn’t quit running so takes a few extra shots. They have another back that’s extremely fast and can break away at any time. Stopping the run is crucial for a win.

Thanks for words of wisdom National Champ. Those who dwell on the past don’t see the positives in the future. As this old guy says it’s an important part of the car if your always using it.

All indications are he is a go Dallas. Onlyu said he looked good in practice all week. Maybe I’m being overly optimistic but its the perfect time to get him back and infuse some energy.

Game speed is always a little different. It will be interesting to see if ASU blitzes and puts pressure on him or drop back and make him throw the ball. I expect more TE and RB throws. Should be a nice test to see where he’s at.

Punt back, over the line, two on two basketball in the driveway, kick the can, fox and the geese( in the snow). No cell phones no computers and 3 channels on tv. Life was so simple back then.
