We have not won the conference yet. Let the season play out. Nobody in the comments above is wrong. We have not played a good quarterback yet. Barnes has given us the most trouble so far. Let’s see how are secondary holds up against Arizona.
I like our chances in the conference and with no USC Oregon Washington to worry about. Let’s enjoy thi…[Read more]

Hard to argue with your picks proud Ute. I might throw Wilson in there just because he has won two road games and that’s not easy for a true freshman.

Jim Vanderhoof replied to the topic Cam Game time Decision? in the forum Football 1 month, 1 week ago
According to game day it’s two fingers. Who the hell knows. I don’t think Wilson is ready for a big game on the road. He may get the chance to prove me wrong. It really sucks as fans that the media can get inside information but we get shut out. What difference does it make if the injury is reported. Obviously if the media knows Okstate knows. Rep…[Read more]

It reminds me of LA or Berkeley. Seriously it looks like a great small town atmosphere. May not have a beach or Disneyland but the charm of an old school college town. Thanks for the post Dallas. I would definitely like to check it out and watch a game there. Big 12 has some hidden gems.

I disagree. I’m in a couple fantasy football leagues and besides a couple game time decisions I know who is playing and who is out. Plus they have to designate the injury and status. On my fantasy league they post full practice or sitting out.
I follow the Utes daily and don’t have clue who is even hurt let alone their injury and status. So no…[Read more]

100 degrees and humidity is no factor. Says the guy from his air conditioned office. It will be a factor for both sides. The pokes have at least been acclimated by living there and practicing in it. You might want to ask a few players who played in the swamp a couple years ago. It’s not an excuse and a win is a win. Some players can fight t…[Read more]

Well Teddy we struggled in Florida and we struggled last year in Waco. I’m not saying 5 points worth. I always look at weather when I place a bet. You don’t think 100 degrees and high humidity will have an effect on the game?

Jim Vanderhoof replied to the topic Cam says Cam will play in the forum Football 1 month, 1 week ago
He said on his show last week before the USU game that he was ready to go. No different this week. Until he runs on the field that first series I’m not believing him.
After the first three games it’s hard to tell who’s in the game. New numbers and names. Hiding injuries is out of hand and needs to be addressed. Season ticket holders pay a lot o…[Read more]

I’m sure Singer might have some input for Myles. Can’t blame a young athlete for going all in for a chance at stardom. Give USC a shot and if it doesn’t work out transfer to Utah. 5* have their eyes on the NFL. College is just the next step. Vele is playing for the Broncos with low receiving stats. Myles has the tools but does he have work ethic…[Read more]

Thanks for the clarification. Either way sounds like he might be slightly limited. I’ll take Cam at 90%.

The heat and humidity factor could be moving the line.

Jim Vanderhoof replied to the topic Is Rising Playing? in the forum Football 1 month, 1 week ago
I think the line is moving because of the heat and humidity factor. The cowboys are more acclimated to play in harsh conditions. Baylor game was similar last year. Cam should be ready to go. Is two weeks enough time for stitches in a middle finger to heal? Any doctors in the house that can answer?

I think it’s great hearing from the poke fans. It adds a lot to Ute hub and Tony our fearless leader is always a gracious host.
We all want our teams to win but at the end of the day we can sit down and have beer and be friends. Shoutout to the pokes posting and I hope when you come to Salt Lake we can make sure you have a great experience.

Down two starters is a big deal. It takes time for an o line to gel. Take advantage and pressure them early to make mistakes.

Jim Vanderhoof replied to the topic Utah in home vs away games in the forum Football 1 month, 1 week ago
QB play is so crucial on the road. Easy for a young qb to get rattled early and make mistakes. We have seen that over and over with young QBs at home. Rising has the experience to calm the early storm and keep the crowd out of the game.
