  • We need to get off the Highway and take the backroads up to the big sky conference or Boulder. Hope Deon doesn’t read this it will become “personal”

  • Play calling will be a key. Don’t get NJ rattled early. Have some plays that he can throw for some easy completions and be careful of early big hits on him. They watch film and know he is fumble prone.

Get him to the sidelines and utilize his speed. Make their inexperienced dab’s and safety’s tackle in space. We got exposed last year again…[Read more]

  • I agree ALUF with all your points. That’s why I’m taking the Utes to win. We’ve had 4 games to figure out our offense and what we have to work with. Johnson has a good game and our defense gets a couple turnovers. Go utes

  • We need him healthy. Gives us more options. Don’t expect a miraculous comeback after 5 days to heal.🤞🤞

  • Do we come out throwing and try to get a lead then go conservative to hold on ? (UCLA)

Do we come out running and conservative then throw if we get behind? ( Baylor)

We have wins both ways. If Glover starts we need to take the reins off NJ. If JJ starts run him and get a feel for their offense production.

Open the offense and be…[Read more]

  • Wouldnt that be under the healing process? No restrictions means healing has occurred. Otherwise there would be some restrictions. Contact has nothing to do with the healing. Thanks Pedro go Utes

  • Thanks Pedro I am totally confused. Can you clarify if a knee is cleared for full use with no restrictions. To me that means you can trust the knee is healed. So is there a time frame when contact is cleared? Seems that knee will be vulnerable for contact anytime after it has healed no matter the time frame? Just trying to make sense of it all.…[Read more]

Thanks Miami for your insight on the acl injury time frame. I’m sure it varies and I don’t have enough knowledge for a solid opinion. But the reliable source I have said he doesn’t think he’ll play at all this year. If his knee is cleared for full use it must be healed? Am I off base? Therefore it has to be something else?

  • Jim Vanderhoof replied to the topic Cam and Kuithe in the forum Football 1 year, 1 month ago

It’s been confusing that the doctors have cleared him to fully practice for the last couple weeks. Then his surgeon has to clear him. Don’t they communicate? If a knee is fully healed then cleared for contact is a personal choice. Football is a violent sport nobody would play if they were worried about contact.

Rumor has been he’s not ready…[Read more]

Yesterday I was told by a reliable source that Cam may not play at all. I kind of blew it off because I can’t believe he wouldn’t play if healthy.

Now Miami Ute and others are hearing the same rumbling. I hope he plays but not so optimistic anymore. If he is out does he get the NIL money?

  • Interesting. I guess some of the posters who keep saying OSU is overrated might be underestimating them. We have had no offense this year so hopefully this is the week to improve. I’ll take the Utes and 4 1/2. Could come down to field goal ouch.

  • I’m looking at the line. Was +3 now +3 1/2. If cam was playing it could be a pk game. I don’t think he plays they always seem to know more than us.

Interesting BYU was -2 1/2 Monday and I jumped on that thinking it would go to -3 or more. Now Cincy is -2. That’s a 4 1/2 pt swing?

  • Golfed yesterday with the Aggie PA announcer for football and basketball for 27 years. Great guy and friend. Been to several Aggie bball games with him. I always root for them.

  • Nothing wrong with being an Aggie. I hope get to experience the same as me.

  • Congratulations Ute 2 on the new baby girl!! I remember my second daughter being born and the Utah -Wyoming game on the tv. Dates me a little as I now have granddaughters. I was so lucky to have two great daughters. My oldest daughter who just turned 40 has been going to Utah football games with me for over 20 years and still going strong as my 13…[Read more]

  • It’s a testament to our culture. Good character hard working and want to help the team win. Unlike the 70’s when the refrigerator was the weight room and 16 oz coors were the weights.

Lighten up chinn. Great points on the RB situation but the Cam kriptonite was for a laugh!! Yes we got three wins but two were at home. Winning on the road is much harder.

  • Jim Vanderhoof replied to the topic Rose NJ Barnes in the forum Football 1 year, 1 month ago

Great points!! Great qbs don’t grow on trees. Without JJ we don’t have a power running attack. Big difference between JJs 4 yards and Glovers 2 yards on our three up the middle plays. Also losing Bernard’s ability to be a dependable blocker and outlet for the qb. Perfect storm for a failing offense.

Curry could help if healthy. We are so close…[Read more]

I agree Proud Ute. Whitt knew we had an elite defense. He knew Barnes could fill in for a game or two. He knew the two young qbs are not ready for this crazy good schedule. I think he went all in on Cam. I’m sure he is second guessing himself.

He probably sees potential in NJ and Rose. I think losing them to the portal is also on his mind. I…[Read more]

  • Our die hard ute fan base will support who ever steps on the field to play qb or any other position. We all love and support the coaching staff and players who work their asses off to bring us a winner.

Our expectations have become high. Maybe too high. In my mind and I’m sure many others i look at this year as our best chance ever to make the C…[Read more]
