Way to represent section W 13. My 45th year in W13. He definitely got the “ dub” being with his dad, big game and great atmosphere.

Maybe it’s fate? Cam and Kuithe come back. We pick up a couple WR and a physical RB in the portal. Everyone returns on defense and we move to the big 12 where we can win the conference and get the 12 team CFP. Even with Cam and a healthy team getting through the pac 12 undefeated would be nearly impossible. A four team CFP was a long shot. Next y…[Read more]

I agree. We got caught up in the hype of game day and the USC win. Game day motivated the ducks and we just showed up. They have a much better offense with play makers. Nix is a veteran QB and he got rid of the ball quick and negated our pass rush.
Losing Barton on defense really showed. I’m disappointed we didn’t give them a better game. I’v…[Read more]

If the arrival was on the front add pig farmer on the back. Or save them for Isac Wilson. The Cam story is over this year. Let’s move on.

Porky Barnes. A big sewee when he takes the field. If he played for Oregon he’d be the the Millard Mallard.

Thanks warrior Ute. You can’t make this story up. In the age of egos, tattoos and entitlement it’s refreshing to see. Small town kid with big dreams, work ethic and love of the game can still find a roll on a big time college stage. Says a lot about our program.

Follow up to my previous take. The size and athleticism on defense has changed the game. It used to be passing, moving the ball and finding the open man was fun to watch. Pick and roll dribble dribble basketball is not fun to watch. The days of Jack Gardner Jerry Pimm and Rick Majerus are long gone.

Remember when the Huntsman center was packed 15 minutes before the game started. I think Ute fans looked forward to BB because the football program was not great. Now it’s reversed.
A couple of bad coaching hires and lack of winning has hurt the program. No rivals in the pac 12. Plus BB had a much older fan base that can’t make the cold late nig…[Read more]

It might be me throwing. Game just got changed to 10:40. So I am back in!! Tickets not for sale. Someone from the Ute conference finally figured out there was a Utah game.

I just found out my grandson plays Saturday at 3:40 in Ute conference football finals. Northwest side around the 30 yrd line. W13 row 48 4 together on the isle. My cost is 720.00 for the four. I want to offer here first so an Oregon fan doesn’t buy them on Ticketmaster.

The biggest improvement I’ve seen in our defense the past year is tackling in space. Bishop and Vaki are great tacklers.
Oregon spreads the field and makes you tackle 1 on 1 in space. They have great athletes and missed tackles end in big plays.
Their running backs are strong and can’t be arm tackled. DL needs get bodies in front them. Make Nix…[Read more]

Jim Vanderhoof replied to the topic Barnes offensive PoW! in the forum Football 1 year, 1 month ago
It’s hard not to like Barnes. I was watching his teammates reaction to him during the game. They follow his lead.
That last drive when he ran over that safety to get an extra two yards. Got up and was a little dazed but stayed in gathered his thoughts and finished the drive. That epitomized what Utah football is all about.
I was not a big f…[Read more]

Jim Vanderhoof replied to the topic Will Vaki move to the offense full-time? in the forum Football 1 year, 1 month ago
Good post proud Ute. Wish Vaki had a twin brother. He is good on both sides. I think for this year we need him more on offense and my previously thoughts were he was too valuable on defense to replace.
He will have to make the decision next year. Too much to ask going both ways. Please Whitt take him off all special teams!! He exemplifies a true…[Read more]

Maybe on social media. Between BYU fans pretending to be Utah fans and trash talking Ute fans. How about the true college football fans that would recognize a class team and fan base.
We have a chance to show the big twelve some respect and let them know we are excited for a new challenge and teams to play. Why stir the pot? We are not Texas and…[Read more]
