The new coach will need a big finger to plug the hole in the dike. It’s ready to break. Transfer portal will be buzzing with UCLA players. Add another gimme game for the Big Ten blue bloods.

Looks like Chip Kelly will be fired. According to articles on the UCLA football website. Cheap buyout at 7-9 million. Cheap???? Compared to 77 million for Jumbo Jim.
7-9 million put into NIL would help sign some good players. It blows my mind how much money demands are being put on big boosters. At what point do they tap out? The deepest pockets…[Read more]

“We” meaning the coaching staff. Training staff and insiders like only u. Glad you were right. I guess “we” all should have listened to you. We are all fans and hope for the best. “We” might have thought different if the extent of the injury was known earlier.

DeLaura : 864-1049 63.3% 62tds 31 int
Rising. : 456-711 64%. 46tds 14 intJust saying if we need a 1 and done QB he can be considered. Played for Mike Leach. Not many transfers have those numbers. I would rather have Cam. But Barnes Rose or Johnson?
I’m sure there are plenty more candidates out there. I would take Dart in a heartbeat but l…[Read more]

DeLaura is listed as a junior. If Cam decides to not come back he looks like a possible option. He is injured but looks like they will go with the young QB who is playing well. Just a thought.

We all had unrealistic illusions of Cam and Kuithe taking us to the promise land.(me included). We are back to reality now. We have seen our defense and need more playmakers on offense.
Cam and Kuithe would be healthy next year. The Big Twelve is a new challenge and teams are unfamiliar with our style of play on both sides. We have a legitimate…[Read more]

Good post Nashville. That makes total sense. I’m sure Cam is smart enough to know his football days are numbered. His only hope of getting drafted is a deep playoff run next year.
He is a true leader and his presence has paid dividends with two Rose bowls. Play 1 more year and see what happens. He would be a great QB coach for Wilson if the NFL d…[Read more]

Dart is not coming here. Kiffin and playing in the SEC gives him the best chance of getting drafted. Cam needs to commit after the season ends. The portal opens in December and we can’t wait for Cam. He is in or out period.
DeLaurin from Arizona might be available. Devin Brown from Ohio State is possible. He lacks game experience. We need an e…[Read more]

I was there with you and the 10,000 other fans in 1974. Rock bottom for Utah football. Wayne Howard brought energy and an O line coach named Ron McBride. Jim Fassel brought in the high scoring Scott Mitchell offense.
McBride brought MAFA and the family atmosphere. Urban brought the organization and will to succeed. Now Kyle with the toughness to…[Read more]

Anyone have any insight to injuries this week? I couldn’t find the weekly injury report (haha). We need JJ and a healthy O line to keep Washington’s offense on the sidelines
I have no source but I think Vaki has been dinged up a little. Hopefully he is 100% to help out on offense. I don’t think we’ve played the Penix led huskies, so hard to tell…[Read more]

Great post!! It’s been a great ride. Except you left out or deleted BYU. I can’t imagine they aren’t on the list with their well known brand.

Jim Vanderhoof replied to the topic Washington game weather in the forum Football 1 year, 3 months ago
Same as every other game we need JJ to play. Vaki could be more of a factor also. Barnes will have to run more for sure.
Not sure if the field is turf or grass. Grass gives the receiver an advantage. Turf helps the defense more.
We can’t play conservative and win. Receivers and Barnes have to play their best game to win. Wet grass might help o…[Read more]

High chance of rain and 15-25 wind. Does that help or hurt our chances? A little early to predict but Seattle gets a lot of rain.
Does that make our struggling throw game worse and make us more conservative on offense. We have not had a rain game yet to see how Barnes can handle a wet ball.
On the other hand Washington is a pass dominant…[Read more]

Jim Vanderhoof replied to the topic Why can’t we draw more fans in the forum Basketball (Men) 1 year, 4 months ago
All of the above is sad but true. We have everything in place to be a great program. Great players want to be on national tv and big crowds. We have neither. The Jazz has also hurt. 41 home games with the best players in the world vs 18-20 year old entitled kids. Coaches have to walk on egg shells so they don’t hurt feelings or they transfer. I was there when Jeff Ockel punched the New Mexico center during the game. I go back to Doug Moon and crowd favorite Granny Lash. Saw Merv Jackson play there. Dark and quiet during timeouts and half. No loud music. You could actually talk about the game during time outs.
My dad played for Jim Williams at CSU so we would go to the locker room…[Read more]
