It might be me throwing. Game just got changed to 10:40. So I am back in!! Tickets not for sale. Someone from the Ute conference finally figured out there was a Utah game.

I just found out my grandson plays Saturday at 3:40 in Ute conference football finals. Northwest side around the 30 yrd line. W13 row 48 4 together on the isle. My cost is 720.00 for the four. I want to offer here first so an Oregon fan doesn’t buy them on Ticketmaster.

The biggest improvement I’ve seen in our defense the past year is tackling in space. Bishop and Vaki are great tacklers.
Oregon spreads the field and makes you tackle 1 on 1 in space. They have great athletes and missed tackles end in big plays.
Their running backs are strong and can’t be arm tackled. DL needs get bodies in front them. Make Nix…[Read more]

Jim Vanderhoof replied to the topic Barnes offensive PoW! in the forum Football 1 year, 4 months ago
It’s hard not to like Barnes. I was watching his teammates reaction to him during the game. They follow his lead.
That last drive when he ran over that safety to get an extra two yards. Got up and was a little dazed but stayed in gathered his thoughts and finished the drive. That epitomized what Utah football is all about.
I was not a big f…[Read more]

Jim Vanderhoof replied to the topic Will Vaki move to the offense full-time? in the forum Football 1 year, 4 months ago
Good post proud Ute. Wish Vaki had a twin brother. He is good on both sides. I think for this year we need him more on offense and my previously thoughts were he was too valuable on defense to replace.
He will have to make the decision next year. Too much to ask going both ways. Please Whitt take him off all special teams!! He exemplifies a true…[Read more]

Maybe on social media. Between BYU fans pretending to be Utah fans and trash talking Ute fans. How about the true college football fans that would recognize a class team and fan base.
We have a chance to show the big twelve some respect and let them know we are excited for a new challenge and teams to play. Why stir the pot? We are not Texas and…[Read more]

I miss those midnight walks back to the car when it’s 20 degrees. Nov noon games are good. Neon deon will have a melt down if they have to play a late night in late November. All his warm weather transfers will hate the cold.

How about some positive big 12 signs. Instead of we are better than you idiots on social media. Let’s show the big twelve we embrace them. Big 10 ducks vs big twelve Utes!! Let’s not be USC of the big twelve.

Jim Vanderhoof replied to the topic Basking in the delectable afteglow of Utah vs USC talk in the forum Football 1 year, 4 months ago
Thanks Eagle that was awesome. We have a blue collar coach and team. It’s fun to see others perspective that sometimes we take for granted. Being tough doesn’t always mean wins but that’s how the NFL plays and if you can play for the Utes that attitude will transfer to the nfl. Great recruiting advantage.

Good post Charlie. The last two games with Barnes being the “only” qb and getting the reps and game plan around him has made a huge difference. The two qb plan doesn’t work. Especially when they have different strengths.
I can see now why Whitt had confidence that Barnes could fill in a few games. I’m sure he might have thought differe…[Read more]

Jim Vanderhoof replied to the topic All the Pressure in on USC – Can Utah Take Advantage? in the forum Football 1 year, 4 months ago
Good point Miami lets send him to the showers with an L. He is a front runner. Hard to beat when things are going his way. Fall apart when things don’t go his way.
I think it’s a classic case of entitlement. He thinks he is better than everyone else. Riley has been the instigator.

If rumors are true Riley wants to go to the nfl and his team hears the rumors will they play hard for him? Has Caleb gotten bigger than the team? Can they regroup after Norte dame loss?

Jim Vanderhoof replied to the topic GameDay did a nice segment on the Utah/USC game in the forum Football 1 year, 4 months ago
I agree with Tony. Drop off in tackling. Bishop makes a lot of tackles in space. Ritchie is good. Bishop is exceptional.

Jim Vanderhoof replied to the topic IT'S GAME DAY! in the forum Football 1 year, 4 months ago
This game is scary. USC is out for blood. They don’t want the backlash from their fans if they lose. They want to humiliate us.
They will come out aggressive and try to get an early lead. Whitt loves being the underdog. If we can keep the first half close get Bishop back and wear them down we have a chance. Go Utes
