Agree. They put too many eggs in the Cam basket. We all got sucked in thinking Cam and Brant would be ready for Florida. Obviously the coaching staff felt the same. NJ Rose or Barnes would emerge as the backup. Past failures of portal QBs and worrying about keeping the backups happy led to no portal qb.
I’m sure the coaches would like a redo. H…[Read more]

Our receivers looked bad last night. Dropped passes and can’t get separation. Future QBs look at the whole picture.

Tough to recruit a top throwing qb and wr when your a run first offense.

Take out Martinez Fenwick and the qb. Replace them with a freshman qb and a 180 lb running back and first team to score 8 wins. Similar style teams. Tough to win on the road at full strength.
If you’re going to play a certain type of offense seems you should recruit backups with similar skills. Hard to revamp your offense everytime you have an injury.

Cougarboard BYU nerd posters. Who else could say such idiotic comments. They think they are funny. BYU humor at its best.

Jim Vanderhoof replied to the topic Scale of 1-10, how nervous are you (10 being most nervous)? in the forum Football 1 year, 5 months ago
10 especially with JJ out. But optimistic our offense will play better. The 1-10 is nervous right. Nothing else. Wish I was a one.

Roboute and Kirk Herbstreet are typical BYU nerds sense of humor. At least they’re having fun at our expense. Or they think they are.

Jim Vanderhoof replied to the topic OnlyU – Any hints on who can play tonight? in the forum Football 1 year, 5 months ago
Being quiet about cam I can see. Totally different defensive prep than Johnson. The other positions why does it matter. Besides JJ being bigger than Glover I don’t think it changes a defense. I’m sure a linebacker would rather tackle Glover instead of JJ. We need to mentally prepare come on Whitt help us out!!

JJ not playing hurts. Hopefully we test the perimeter more and utilize Glover and NJ speed. Running Glover and Johnson up the middle doesn’t work. Make the the OSU dbs tackle in space.

The line is OSU -4/12. We have not shown we can move the ball consistently. Under dog on the road. Let’s make this “personal” and get a win. I’m taking the Utes.

These beaver jokes are lame. I live in Beaver Utah and don’t think they are funny. Makes me want to go the Beaver liquor store and get a bottle of whiskey.

We need to get off the Highway and take the backroads up to the big sky conference or Boulder. Hope Deon doesn’t read this it will become “personal”

Play calling will be a key. Don’t get NJ rattled early. Have some plays that he can throw for some easy completions and be careful of early big hits on him. They watch film and know he is fumble prone.
Get him to the sidelines and utilize his speed. Make their inexperienced dab’s and safety’s tackle in space. We got exposed last year again…[Read more]

I agree ALUF with all your points. That’s why I’m taking the Utes to win. We’ve had 4 games to figure out our offense and what we have to work with. Johnson has a good game and our defense gets a couple turnovers. Go utes

We need him healthy. Gives us more options. Don’t expect a miraculous comeback after 5 days to heal.🤞🤞

Do we come out throwing and try to get a lead then go conservative to hold on ? (UCLA)
Do we come out running and conservative then throw if we get behind? ( Baylor)
We have wins both ways. If Glover starts we need to take the reins off NJ. If JJ starts run him and get a feel for their offense production.
Open the offense and be…[Read more]

Wouldnt that be under the healing process? No restrictions means healing has occurred. Otherwise there would be some restrictions. Contact has nothing to do with the healing. Thanks Pedro go Utes

Thanks Pedro I am totally confused. Can you clarify if a knee is cleared for full use with no restrictions. To me that means you can trust the knee is healed. So is there a time frame when contact is cleared? Seems that knee will be vulnerable for contact anytime after it has healed no matter the time frame? Just trying to make sense of it all.…[Read more]
